i sees, those do look pretty nice. i'm thinking it might be better to gather the pieces myself and build them myself, might even be able to justify buying a tig welder to do it. after my kb experience i'm kinda leary of out of the box parts like this.

Real pieces of junk honestly. 1 fell apart at the track last time. Ordered some K&N's yesterday for it that are much bigger and should flow better.

Tank arrived. I bought a 3 gallon fuel cell for the water/ice. Was cheaper to do that then to buy just the aluminum, let alone the cap/fittings.
I ended up moving the fill cap to the "side" and plan to lay the tank down. Little bit of extra welding but having the tig right there isn't a big deal.
Stopping today to get a couple solenoids so the boost can be adjusted UP and some hose for the intercooler. Still have a whole checklist of things to get done before homecoming on the ty and with other things in life. As always will be a few last minute things.
We shall see what happens.

Yes, last time at track about mid 80's in temp, nasty humidy was 150deg IAT.
Now this is with the turbo's pushing 7psi, so granted they are not working too hard yet. I suspect as boost goes up, so will the temps and the need for intercooler becomes stronger.
I don't know what IAT was on my 7.11 1/8th mile run, which is still trucks best. I suspect it was 20deg lower, and why I lost .4 seconds and and 5mph at 1/8th.

How about 4 shortened hood pins screwed into welded nuts in the floor.
Then, just hitch-pin clips + washers hold it in (would probably want a rubber grommet in each hole to keep things tight).
When you want to pull it to drain/fill/clean, you un-do the quick couplers, pull the 4 pins, and it's out.

Gotta keep this thread going and updated.
Motor isn't 100% healthy and some blowby (another thread about that and what I should do is posted) but is running fairly well otherwise. I just get about 500 miles per a set of plugs. :tdown:
I did just order a DM-100 gauge from PLX for it. Going to get that installed. Intercooler is now working with a 3 gallon tank in the back. I spent last weekend (18hrs so far) just cleaning the garage and organizing things, another 20 or so to go. But during that I found my missing hood struts, and dug both sway bars out so they can get cleaned up and ready to install. Ty even has it's own cabinet of spare parts, before it was wherever I last set them.
Drivers side header is leaking again, so new studs/nuts for headers showed up today and I need to get that fixed and get the brace for turbo done on that side. 90% sure that is why it keeps leaking since the pass side has not leaked at all yet but it does have a brace.
Slowly working on the last details and bugs. Many people saw it at homecoming and even got a ride in it. My brother came out for the weekend with me and I gave him the keys all weekend. He admirred how civil it is to drive around town, to the store yet when you give it hell watch out. Exactly what I was aiming to build. Something I can still enjoy just driving.

Your going about it the right way... get all the little stuff and bugs worked out this summer and enjoy it some.
This winter go through the engine and freshen it up and put in the parts you want and really be ready to rock next year!
