Re: Transfer case brace it will fit with the 80E but you need to make it about a foot longer.( not quite but it needs to be longer) I ran my track truck once without it and didn't notice anything but then again I took it easy on that pass.

Re: torque convertor rebuild? I don't think your locking issue has anything to do with the converter. I believe you are having issues with whatever you are using to control it. the B&M I use has a MPH knob so you simply set it for whatever speed you want, it's got nothing to do with what gear...

Re: trans has no overdrive. nope, only solenoid is the one for the converter. OD uses the 3-4 clutches and 2-4 band. so if you have 2nd and 3rd but no 4th and NO other unusual problems then I suspect your 4th gear servo may be stuck. if you have any other symptoms that may change things.

Re: TV cable issue? yes it will move but that is not really an adjustment. you simply move it so that the plunger does not bind when pulling the cable. get a gauge and test it.
