Re: TV cable issue? sounds now like the cable is stretched out (a lot ) for whatever reason. you can try shimming the end of the cable to make it shorter or cutting the tv link on the side of the VB. if this fixes the problem then you can buy a new one or make your own out of a lokar cable...

Re: who uses oil filter on the block? I used a filter on my block, std p52. I used solid motor mounts and gilbert propshaft. otherwise the filter will hit the front diff on the first boost launch.

Re: voltage drop while accelerating. it is normal for the Voltage to drop a mall amount 0.5V when at wot it using DM to record. a direct batter check will show that it should not be dropping. the ecm is powered with an undersize wire and thus the reason for the drop.

Re: trans? you can always try it. bc it's on the VB circuits, your dealing with low pressure and should be fine. the gov is protected by a thimble filter under the vb but it's common practice by some builders not to install them.

Re: Poly motor mounts 4.3L ditto, solids on the eng and poly on the trans, I have built about 50 trucks and they all get solids. I cant take the risk of having somebody powerbrake the truck and doing god knows how much damage to the driveline and cutting a rad hose and frying the motor...

Re: lowering blocks you need the wedge or you will have a vibration in the u joint. esp since you have lowered it even more.

Re: TV cable issue? either the end inside the trans came loose or the TV valve is stuck. you can remove the end on the trans and check it there first before removing the pan. might save you a little time.
