not sure about the chip or who you got it from but I stopped doing chips years ago bc it is way too much time for the $ involved. I have never built any chip or display I merely only reprogrammed them. contact michael hood, he has more experience with these issues.

Re: Progressively lost all gears? sounds like the pump ground itself to death for one reason or another. you will need to replace the entire cooling system to rid yourself of the contamination caused by such a problem.

Re: Another day another problem welcome to the world of syty's. its a great truck isn't it? are you getting the SES light with KO? if so then you have ecm power and thus probably spark. can you hear the fuel pump run? have you checked all your fuses?

Re: 3-4 early shift issue if it has a built trans you might have an upshift sleeve that is a little over active and needs to be replaced. I suggest leaving it in 3rd and manually bumping it up. Its better for the trans to be driven this way.

Re: Gear ratio thoughts I did a lot of work on a truck years ago that had 4.10's front and rear and with std tire sizes it was a terrible combo. It would blaze the tires with ease. could not be launched hard at all and when you would roll into it, it would soon fall on it's face bc the top...

Re: Alternator nut your supposed to be able to use some type of wrench on it that is open end and hold back the pulley with an allen key. an impact works very well though.
