Sounds like a good time for a hobb's switch that will operate the relay for the second fuel pump.

It's only going to take one time of not remembering that switch! XFI is a nice system and will

compensate alot but it's only going to be able to correct so much.

Great progress!

is that the same as a NOS throttle activation switch?

A hobbs switch is basically a pressure switch. It would hit the second stage of the fuel pump once it got to a specified pressure.

I may be heading to the track this friday night depending on weather and will definitely have someone there to take some video...

Well a small update. Put the truck up on the lift Sunday originally to put my shift kit in the trans. Found that the oil pan was making contact with the front diff and starting to rub the weld pretty good. So pulled the front diff, pulled the oil pan, and made a slight modification.

My list of things to do before nats continues to shrink.

Thought I would update this thread. Took this pic yesterday on the way home from the track. traction was an issue. Only got three passes two were full 1/4 runs but an oil leak shut me down for the day.

Here is the slip from my second run. Not doing any kind of burnout or cleaning the tires off, just pull up and go exactly as i drove it there. 93 octane and about 10lbs max boost. Tried launching at 5lbs and it spun badly.

Oil "leak" i found out was just oil blowing out of the valley cover. Track official came down and found me (thought it was to tell me i was done because of going quicker than 11.5x without a roll bar) and told me i left a little puddle of oil at the starting line and should check out my truck. They were about done for the day anyway so I decided to call it a day.

I realized my one way valve i had put in the valve cover breather was not working and causing boost pressure to go in the valve cover :( Ordered up a breather tank tonight. Hopefully i can put that on and get back to the track again before the end of the year. I really want a 10.xx slip before winter. On my last run i left with around 4lbs of boost and it had a 1.67 60' time, but was still spinning. It actually started to hop around just past 60ft and I had to peddle it killing that run.

I am pretty determined to get a 10.xx timeslip this season with the trucks current setup. I know these 7+ year old street tires arent helping but funds wont be around for some sticky ones till next year. I've ordered up a breather tank and should have my oil problem fixed this week so hopefully i will have one more update for this before winter!

Small update. I found a super deal on craigslist on a set of Torque Thrust II's with Pirelli supersport tires 17x9.5s and 17x11s for only $450 so i threw them on the truck.

A friend of a friend had a track rental yesterday at Capitol that I was invited to last minute so I figured I would go make a couple passes. Haven't changed anything on the truck other than the wheels and tires. Finally (barely) got myself a 10 second slip. With a baby boy coming in less than a month i really didnt want to break anything, so its still at only 10lbs of boost and very conservatively tuned. Drove it there and back.

Before the end of this year I will have my drag radials on it and plan on turning up the horsepower knobs.

Yeah, good job on getting in the 10s.. I keep going back looking at the pic of the rims trying to decide if I like them or not.

Thanks guys

No spacers, im not sure the exact offset but they fit pretty much exaclty the same as the zr1 wheels i took off. Did you see my post with the custom center caps?

Want to run for pinks. !!!!!

lol ill bring the alarm clock ;)

10 sec street driven?! DAMN!!! ---

Yea street driven a lot! BTW thats in 90 degree weather, on street tires (not drag radials), 93 octane, low boost (10lbs) and stock suspension other than lowering blocks and some home-made travel limiters up front. I'd say there is more in it. I also found a really bad exhaust leak where my crossover pipe meets the passenger manifold since that day. After fixing that its making 14-15lbs of boost and feels quite a bit faster :)
