Line inside with some high temp fabric stuff.
Trick of that will be finding something that will resist the temps / insulate without soaking up oil and turning into a giant lamp wick waiting to torch your truck.

Its not a problem if you don't plan on having oil leaks, but who plans on having them?

But otherwise, looks like a really cool project. Keep plugging away at it!

Do to some pictures that come up this post, It should be mark NWS. I 1st looked at this at work and was inform of the bad pictures that would not load at work. The name for the truck could be (More Power Scotty)

I deleted my response to the post with the picture in question. Sorry about that. Never thought about it making it NWS.

Re: Project Never Ends

In between finishing up the last little bits for customers including stuff for George I have made some progress. Last week had pneomonia not sure how I got that.

Next week I start my new job, so now I won't have as much time but will have the money go figure.

Thanks to Nolan my throttle body showed up, started to make the adaptor, waiting on more aluminum to finish though.

Quit lookin' for things to fab and assemble the dang thing already. Sheesh.
Next thing you'll be fabbing custom tongue guards for the serpentine belts...

We can't test code unless it acutally *runs*.

Re: Project Never Ends

I know, but I gotta fab some of the stuff to make it run.

3.5" Intake pipe came today, along with couplers and clamps. Working on welding the drivers side header up, probably 65% done. Fuel rails are now mounted and done, gotta order more fittings to finish draining the bank account.

It is getting closer everyday, one year it should run ok I hope in a couple months.

Slightly more progress. Drivers side header is done, the 90's are welded, wastegate mounted on pass side. Tube for WG on drivers side but can't find my other flange. GRRR

Once headers, wastegate flange is done, off they go to get swain coated.

Hopefully the truck can be done for nats.

I have some time to help out if you need it. I want to see you pull this truck out to NATS and make a pass at the track. :)

Give me a ring if you need any help.

Re: Project Never Ends

Got more done today, even took a picture with a real camera. Figured I would just update picture above, instead of posting a new one.

The radiator is going to have to slide forward, but I think I have it figured out.

Inlet tube is closer, plenum has been partially polished, machined the throttle cam for TB, got the wastegate on pass side mounted, drivers side waiting on another flange to arrive. Headers are all done, minus modifing one tube on pass side.

Re: Project Never Ends

Last mockup picture, just after this was taken the motor came out for the last time so I could mount the front diff, finish the motor mounts. Both are done, so motor goes back in while the headers are heading off to get coated.

Got my throttle working also. The wilson TB's are setup for linkage style so I had to make my own cam for the cable.
