this is probably the best time to be a car salesman, they gotta be able to sell cars with this CFC crap going on and if they know anything are probably sneaking cars out the back door or parts etc off before hand, i heard 5.0 mustangs are going in and being CFC with 4cyls

What do you think would happen if that truck went off to get crushed and just never did? im telling you its gonna happen. and in 10 yrs, they will pop again either revinned or a friend at the DMV will pull some strings and get the sucker retitled again, maybe rebuilt, kit car, etc, watch and see when the Carfaxes start coming in with CFC in 2009 but then starts recording mileage later in life. "there is no honestly amoung thieves." (car salesmen)

I bet their is a whole bunch of 5.0 mustangs, F-Bodies, and other sport cars (ie non MKIV Supras, 80's RX7, 80's 300ZX's) getting CFC in particular those cars that aren't even worth 4500 unless in collectible shape.

I bet their is a whole bunch of 5.0 mustangs, F-Bodies, and other sport cars (ie non MKIV Supras, 80's RX7, 80's 300ZX's) getting CFC in particular those cars that aren't even worth 4500 unless in collectible shape.

5.0 mustang Fox bodies are keeping their value, even ones in crappy shape are bringing 5K easy enough, especially 5spds and notches

Here is the chemical used in the cash for clunkers rebate program to disable the engines:
Sodium Silicate < you can click on this link and read about it under "Uses" - "Car engine disablement".

"Sodium silicate solution is used to inexpensively and permanently disable automobile engines. Running an engine with two quarts of the solution in the oil catastrophically damages the engine's bearings and pistons, seizing it within a few minutes.[4] This procedure is required by the American "cash for clunkers" program.[5][4]"

Notches are the Mustang only keeping value out here in Iowa.

You can get running/driving but ragged hatch GT's for 1500-2000 pretty regularly. All just depends on your location I suppose.

I never did get the Notchback thing, BFD they weight 45#'s less than the LX hatchback's. They are the bottom of the line model. The hatchback always looked better to me anyways. I always like the 85/86 Mustang GT & the SVO's.

I didn't realize they were still worth that much, I figure they were 2000-3000 cars unless in exceptional condition. They were 5-6000 15 years ago when my friend and I were all interested in them. I would spend that much money for one nowadays.

Check blue book an a decent Sy. This one BB trade in is $8500 in my area. Our trucks still hold value, but it is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

they are asking 5K easy for decent GTs around here, ive seen some with high mileage in nice shape between 6-8K

have you seen what 93 year only cobras in good shape are worth? that is a rare car like sy's only made one year and they pull about 15k around here, if your lucky enough to find one.

who said the cobra was in good shape :roll: it was a daily driver in michigan it was rotted to hell with a destroyed interior

oh and the people asking about t-types they dont qualify as the mileage is over 18 combined
