Re: Thanks for the support from the Bully crew!

I must admit that at times it probably seemed as though the Bully crew was stuck up and non-sociable, but I think it was simply due to feeling as outcasts from the moment we arrived. Not to say forum comments did not play a role in that as I'm sure they did, however anyone who was able to break the ice with any of us probably found it very easy to talk to us and share information.

From what I know John's truck is one of the first odd-fire twin turbo trucks to actually make it down the track time and time again. We went from 12.0's to 10.0's in a day on the truck and had fun doing it.

As I've found time and time again here on the forum internet etiquette prevails rather than the golden rule. It's unfortunate since forums like this are great ways to share information, but they always seem to have there share of people with too much time and way to many opinions. It seems as though the thread is getting hijacked so I would appreciate it if we could keep the personal comments to ourselves.

BTW Congratulations to Dabney for winning the rental/tow vehicle class and showing everyone he still has what it takes.

From what Ive seen over the years theres been a significant effort put into doing just that and youre still here. Stay or leave...doesnt make a rats ass to me in all honesty but could you just ONCE post something without talking shit to or about someone?

Again, proving my point, I go out of my way to help the community, I have let my truck be used for over 6 months to get turbo kits mocked up, a kit that your probablly running, a kit that most of the vendors here have copied to make money themselves. I have the front half of my truck apart because I took off a part to have shipped across the country to help somoene reproduce it and hopefully be able to get the community more parts available at a better price. YOUR WELCOME

edit::: also forgot where my truck was down for another 6 months waiting on DeQuick to fab up a new single core style IC for our trucks, didn't turn out as efficiant as planned but an effort was made to further the development of parts for our trucks.

I never said there was an untrue part you dip wad...since everyone has to spell it out for you YOURE the one pitching a bitch about the shit talking but in your boundless wisdom you end your post with...

So if what I say is true why do you have a problem with what is said? And please keep your story straight, here you say my post was true, yet then you say I was wrong in why the turnout has decline.

myclone said:
No I dont see a connection between the two but I see high gas prices, busy schedules, and a whole list of other reasons why the attendance has went down over the years. I hate to break it to you but being that there arent a whole lot of these trucks to begin with you arent going to get a huge turn out no matter what. Getting ~40 of these trucks and their owners in one place at the same time is a pretty damn good turnout all things considered.

So the turnout dropping from 100+ truck to 40 is because of gas prices? Don't use that busy schedule bullshit, it was never a problem in the past, people took the time to go because it USED to be worth it. Give me a break, I know of plenty of people who want nothing to do with the event for the same reasons I have posted, but I am the only one who doesn't mind speaking up. Your ignorance on this topic just amazes me, but hey, you believe whatever you need to go to sleep at night. But before the shit talking on the internet started nationals had over 100+ trucks i believe.

and that all means exactly what? You were the most convenient person to the shop? Ive done the same but Im not out looking for atta boys or pats on the back for it. Its not a big deal to me really.

a kit that your probablly running,
Uhh, no. I build my own.

a kit that most of the vendors here have copied to make money themselves.

Yep, right on schedule... had to throw that in there just to make sure you put your trade mark snide remark in the post somewhere. Nice way to let the vendors know what you think of them. Idiot.

I have the front half of my truck apart because I took off a part to have shipped across the country to help somoene reproduce it and hopefully be able to get the community more parts available at a better price.

My was on jack stands for three years up until recently and no one asked me if they could borrow a part from my non running truck but Im supposed to feel indepted to you because they asked you? Uh, yeah...I'll get right on that.

YOUR WELCOME

Not until you STFU.

So if what I say is true why do you have a problem with what is said? And please keep your story straight, here you say my post was true, yet then you say I was wrong in why the turnout has decline.

What...am I in a conversation with the town idiot? Wait....what am I thinking....I am in a conversation with the town idiot.

I have a problem with you bitching about the shit talking then in the SAME post you proceed to do the shit talking and on top of that I never said you were wrong I said I dont see the connection between shit talking and nats attendance. Get YOUR story straight.

So the turnout dropping from 100+ truck to 40 is because of gas prices?
Thats one reason myself as well as a half dozen other ppl I know didnt go.
Don't use that busy schedule bullshit,
Umm, that would be another reason I as well as those same ppl didnt make it. Id be more than happy to let you go to bat and make my boss let me have the time off, make sure another sytyer's pregnant wife wasnt in the hospital at that time, etc etc.

Give me a break, I know of plenty of people who want nothing to do with the event for the same reasons I have posted, but I am the only one who doesn't mind speaking up.

Just maybe they dont want to hang out with ppl who dont know their ass from a hole in the ground such as yourself. Did THAT thought ever occur to you or are you to busy patting yourself on the back for sticking up for disgruntled nats attendees?

Your ignorance on this topic just amazes me,

You calling me ignorant just amazes me..could you even pour piss out of a shoe with the instructions on the bottom?

but hey, you believe whatever you need to go to sleep at night.

I sleep just fine knowing that on my worst day I'll never be as big of an idiot as you on your best day. That truely brings comfort to my restless soul.

But before the shit talking on the internet started nationals had over 100+ trucks i believe.

You obviously believe a LOT of stuff that is far from reality but hey...as long as youre happy.

Like I said, you don't like what I have to say put me on ignore, its only 2 clicks away.

Like I said STFU and there would be a lot of ppl that wouldnt waste 2 clicks theyll never get back.

Im beating my head against a wall and theres only one good thing about beating your head against a wall....it feels good to stop. Back to your regularly sceduled shit talking, nats ruining, attendance killing activity.

Myclone, all the drama and your personal issue with Woz aside, you have to agree that the internet bickering certainly isn't HELPING the crowd at Nationals. I think that's all anyone here is trying to say.

Lets practice then NOT doing that or those behavious. I'm not sure what they are......so like a dumb a$$, I have to ask. Because I rather enjoyed ALL of the differing personas' I met.
Hopefully all of the trash talk will manifest itself into comradery for future events to unfold. Some rivalry is healthy for the competitive spirit......but some semi-involved folks do like to stir things up more than reality......so lets just not let it get out of hand.
We all know its THAT simple, really.
So lets talk about what really happened, which is ALOT of fun compared to the un-fun.

edit:> Oh, and Mike and I came up anticipating the contests with big smiles.....somewhat hearing about the rivalry between camps. It didn't "run" us off from coming, but rather encouraged.
We felt that getting these trucks to perform this fast was REALLY tough to acomplish and worth travel to witness. I mean come on.....those teams went through a ton more than any of us to get there and play.f

Well said. I love these trucks and wanted to make it out to the Nats this year, but my job/lack of money from buying another truck prevented that. I am putting in for vacation next year so that I can make it out, I hope Robert and John can both make it back cause I just want to see fast SYTY's run. Screw the BS, just go out and do your thing, and don't worry about what others are saying. I feel like I am in high school again  Make your trucks faster and come back next year, so I have something to watch go faster than my truck ever will dammit

Edit: I also want to see Ed's bada$$ truck out there next year too  Hope the leg is doing better Ed.

Yes, that is exactly what I was trying to get at, and I think some of the responses you see how here prove that.

With people's attitude and lack of respect on here why would anyone be expected to go and receive the same in person.

Hence why it is the same group of people attending every year, and when a new person comes they are run off.

I'm new to the NATS. It was my first year. I'm in it for the love of the trucks. Also an educational thing for me. Learn as much as possible in the few days I have to learn. I don’t care about those that don’t care. I only care about those that do and for that I will be there next year.

Re: Thanks for the support from the Bully crew!

There were more new faces at this year's event than I can remember and everyone I talked to said they would be back. There are alot of factors keeping people away and that is fine, nothing we can do will change that. We all live our own lives. I keep going back because I enjoy the trucks and the people I meet there. Some people just mix like oil and water. That's life too. We had a great turn out this year and alot of fun. Maybe not as many trucks in the past but alot of people came even if they couldn't get their truck here. Don't overlook that.

It was great to see Robert and John bring their awesome trucks out. They both deserve credit for being there and racing. I don't know who started all the crap about the track but I wish they would have left well enough alone.

That's funny since Ed just ran a 9.13. Wonder what excuse their using to explain why Robert could not duplicate his best here?

Congrats to Bully for winning the pro class.
Mike, that is the most IGNORANT thing I think I have ever seen you post.

Robert ran a 9.06 on american soil, which is what, 0.08 slower than what he did overseas AND he forgot to use the bottle, so that was nothing but motor and turbo. Why didnt he get to duplicate his 8 second pass? Perhaps you should read one of these threads because there seemed to be a little bit of difficulty in making that happen. Only having the ability to make 1 run each night kinda limited his ability to get used to the track and/or make any appropriate changes.

Spare me, if Bully won the class, how come they dont have the award..... oh wait it wouldnt matter cause they didnt show up to pick up the 2nd place trophy, most innovative mod or anything else they won either.

All the shit talking and phone calls got them nowhere except set them deeper in their problems and alienate themselves from the group.

There were at least 5 people at Nats outside their group who have motec/oddfire/jiffypop experience but due to the fact that their cold shoulder attitude was pretty evident 5 mins after arriving, it was clear they wouldnt have accepted any help if it had been offered.

It unfortunate that things turned out the way they did, but syty.net didnt run anyone off nor did anyone else that was actually at Nats. They controlled their own fate and if youre too blind to see that, thats your own problem.

I have to disagree here. I was in the stands when John and crew rolled up and by the time I was informed of their arrival and turned around to see, a good 85% of the people were over at Johns trailer. I heard multiple people tried to make an effort to introduce themselves and/or strike up conversation about the truck, which were reportedly shrugged off or ignored.

I honestly dont see how someone can feel like they were outcasts (in a bad way) when a huge swarm of people walk over when you arrive.

From what I know John's truck is one of the first odd-fire twin turbo trucks to actually make it down the track time and time again. We went from 12.0's to 10.0's in a day on the truck and had fun doing it.
I 100% agree with that, which is the reason why I voted them for the most innovative mod, since not only was it the first twin turbo SyTy (i think) to make a complete pass at Nats, it was odd fire on top of that.

It was certainly not something I would have expected when it rolled over the trailer and big  is indeed needed for all those whol put their time and effort in on that beast.

BTW Congratulations to Dabney for winning the rental/tow vehicle class and showing everyone he still has what it takes.
 yes, we're all glad that roll of $1 wasnt slowing you down.

Remember Dabney, you promised a truck in '07 :D

Dabney and I have a bet going on who will bring their truck. Of course Justin and I have one for last couple years also. In fact Todd has a bet with me also. Heck if I finish my truck before they do, I get to kick Justin's ass, Head to steak dinner with Todd, and Dabney is buying all the strippers I can handle. That would be a great night.

Aside from my personality differences I agree what John did with truck with the turbo, intercoolers, oddfire etc is great work.

What did he own or have there that put him in a pace to to shit to anyone?
at least he was there.

How did his truck do against Bully?
I dont recall him claiming his truck could do anything.

So how many trucks were there? Has the trend continued in decline at the event? Hmm wonder why? Could it be all the shit talking and telling people not to come back, I am sure that helps the community.
Nope, wrong again, perhaps you should show up an experience it for yourself sometime. Attendance was WAY up this year and even the truck count has been going UP each year for the past 3 years.

And gee, dont forget that gas is lik $3.00 a gallon for 87 octane, im sure that doesnt play any part in the truck numbers either............ right...... [/sarcasm]

Robert has an amazing truck, and his attitude on here seems to follow that as well, why not let him do the shit talking and posting for HIS truck.
He doesnt need to talk shit, his truck actually puts up the numbers.

All the nutswingers are grasping so tight to his sac he may have trouble with Customs on the way back home. You swingers should follow his suit and stay quiet and have a good time.
oh yes, and your :2cents: was so valuable here.

I have gone before, and I had fun, but that was beforeall the internet warriors.

And attendence is up? From when? when 20 people showed up for Great Bend or Grand Bend whatever it was called? Last time I was at Nationals in KC there was 100 trucks or damn close, sure as heck not 40.
