Re: Project Executioner

I think these will work.
Front - 17x9.5's with MT ET Streets
Rears - 17x11's with MT ET Streets

The rears will be a little deeper than stock seeing the Moser rear-end will be 2wd width. Should be a nice look ! ! !

They are very nice. My cousin just bought a set. He went 20x15 on the rears

I didnt want to go to big as I still needed some sidewall for traction. I was actually thinking about buying an extra set of Weld RT-S 15x11 rears and having some 26/10.5/15's for even more sidewall if I need it. We will see later once I see where the traction limit is on this set.

No way,or maybe you just interpreted what I said wrong, way back. You have always been badass to me.

Pretty sure I drooled on the white Vette.

Re: Project Executioner

Used a LS 6.0 truck engine I had sitting around today to mock up so I can make motor mounts and check for additional clearances. I used an off the shelf oil pan I ordered from Summit and the motor went right in. I did have to trim about 1/4" off the front diff torque tube mount on the passenger side that would touch the pan rail just a little, but you would have to do this with either pan if you want the engine to sit as low as possible. I have the engine mounted to my own custom made solid motor mounts and the pan sits about 1/4" up off the diff. I also mocked up a set of truck front serpentine accessories to see if the power steering pump would clear the steering box. It cleared by about 2 inches actually. I will not be running these accessories but just thought I would check so anyone else doing a LS 6.0 swap from a truck with all the accessories will know they will fit without issues. I am running a special serpentine setup made to also allow the Whipple belt to work and not interfere.

I did cut the A/C side panel open and will be fiber glassing it closed again as I will be running A/C with my 1500hp.

Here is the link to the summit pan

I also ordered a LS swap fabricated pan from RPM Motorsports and it was sitting right here beside the Mildon pan and I thought, Wow this looks just like the conversion pan, I took a few measurements and the Mildon pan has about 3/4" more clearance. The RPM pan does have a little kickout on the side of the sump area for a little more oil (About 1") I will get a pic over the weekend of the pans side by side.

Re: Project Executioner

What pickup tube did you use with the mildon pan? I've been researching a lot between that pan and the modded H3 and I guess it really just depends on whether you'd rather run a remote filter or block mounted filter. Any issues with the Mildon pan other than the front diff mount trimming?

Re: Project Executioner

Since you plan on running AC, which accessory bracket configuration are you going with?

Which AC compressor you have? From your engine picture, it seems like it appears to be a smaller unit that gives you some more space.

I have an 04 LS1 in my Ty running the Corvette accessories with the AC compressor up high on the passenger side. Will make for a tight fit of the AC accumulator when I hook up all the AC stuff.

Re: Project Executioner

Its a Wegner LS front drive accessory kit. They are the only company that makes kits for the Whipple on a LS. The A/C compressor is a sandon SD7. You can see in the pic its a very nice setup, nice and tight to the motor. As for the A/C. I am completely removing the factory big ass box from the firewall. It will be nice and flat. I am going to the Vintage air Gen II mini. Its a nice and compact unit that will free up space under the dash and clean up the firewall. It uses a small bulkhead fitting on the firewall.

I can use either one of these.

Re: Project Executioner

Man, that's nice! I'm definitely waiting to see what it looks like all hooked up.

Where will the drainage for the condensation lead from, the inside cab?

Have you felt the air distribution out of the GenII Mini, wondering if it's comparable to stock. That system uses servo motors as well right? No cables or vacuum hoses?

Here is the info I have on it. Hopefully this will answer your question. I will find out once I install it :)

Any word on this?

Re: Project Executioner

Unfortunately I do not know. I know it has a George Blake (Prime Gears) 4L80E in it. I am thinking I will take it up to RPM Transmissions while the motor is out and have them go through it real quick just to be safe. I had them go through my last GB trans before doing the first LS conversion back in 2006.

If not I will run it till it breaks and then upgrade. I am sure it will not be the only piece in the driveline that is going to have to be upgraded along the way.

Re: Project Executioner

I removed the A/C and Fan assembly from the firewall and under the dash. I also removed the brake booster as I will be going to a Hydro boost setup. I am going to cut patch panels and weld all the openings and holes up on the firewall before giving them a nice new paint job. I want it to look like it can from the factory this way and if your going to do it you may as well do it right. I am also going to de-pin any wires that are not going to be used and clean up all the wiring under the dash. Tomorrow I will repaint the frame and get it ready for its new engine.

Re: Project Executioner

Did you go with the Hydroboost setup due to the Whipple setup not creating enough vacuum?
