Nice. Professional. /sarcasm
WTF? You gave general vague and quite possibly an incorrect response to an owner and you come on here and say that no you don't want any correct advice because someone has a picture of themselves dressed for halloween in their signature. That's pretty jacked up.
I gave no such response, Ray Bohacz was the author in question.
Nice sidestepping...you wear the name
Jim@GMHTP...yet, when it comes to information that was published by your magazine you don't want to take responsibility...Yet another fine example of the decay of morals and social responsibility in America (yes I just did elevate it to that level) I guess you can say whatever you want because you have a second job to fall back on for those other 9 months of the year
If you disagree with his advice, I urge you to contact him directly.
Fuck yeah I disagree with him...that's why I started this thread didn't I? Have I contacted you yet, no because I was hoping to get a group effort going here rather than a flame ware and produce a consolidated accurate and comprehensive "open letter" to GMHTP...much like "You" (referring to the magazine not your employer because I know you don't take responsiblity for the product of your employer) have done with GM. I'm assuming that your letter hasn't done much good...as a letter from the constituents of this board would fair at this point...
Rick Jensen will soon be taking over the column and while we are very aware of the wealth of information that exists on message boards, Rick will be directing the tougher questions to vendors who specialize in those areas. To read more about it, click on this thread:

Seeking accurate information for publication from sources on the Internet is a risky proposition at best. For example, after reading this thread, I might expect to see "300 plus trucks" at the SyTy Nats next weekend, when less than half that number are even listed on the website as being registered.
I agree seeking information can be risky...come on live a little...let's get off the high horse that just because Kenne Belle advertises a lot with you that he's #1 in SyTy...Which would you rather publish...an advertisement for potentially engine harming 10y/o technology from a high paying advertiser or the latest in technology advancements utilizing upgraded 3 bar map sensors, 50lb injectors...the ability to upgrade to newer vortec heads w/ a bigger cam...technology that was developed earlier this year? Obviously you are telling me you'd prefer to go with the "money"
Tranny: There's a lot more to tranny tech than your local shop would have you to believe. I wish I had saved Brian Hartmann's rant on production processes that make a good part go bad. Hartmann's kit is so extensive that maintain's records of plant ownership. If part A is designed in a good fashion...doesn't make it a good part if production processes inherently destroy the integrity of the production part. Capiche? You'd be amazed at the amount of research that go into his kits. So which would you rather publish...information from a High Paying Advertiser that don't know crap about tranny tech for SyTy and haven't since they stopped research on SyTy nearly 8 years ago...or the guy that just approved a new & improved TCS converter that nearly revolutionize tranny tech *again* Obviously the money wins out again.

ahh hell, I'm at work and don't have the rag with me (it's on the toilet btw) somebody wanna jump in here on this one?
If you are adamant about contacting vendors...shy away from Kenne Belle unless you have a question about a2a, then only contact him if you want a piping nightmare for $1200. Instead for SyTy I have heard good things (and sometimes occasionally bad) from the true Vendors of SyTy...guys continually working on developing new technology for SyTy'ers like me and people on this board around the world (I'm in germany...btw: work on getting your rag her faster...it pisses me off that I have to wait an additional week to read it after the stateside guys get to read it...):

Heck, contact Rick "Opie" Waller, an ISTA Board member for information...he could politically direct you in the right direction...that's if you still hold the predjudicial opinion that people shouldn't have fun with sig lines on the net and could possibly never know anything good...
Nice post...maybe next time you could stop sidestepping the real issue...
