A little about myself. I'm a bodyman and a gearhead. I like fast cars/trucks and I like making them look good too. I'm a current member over at www.v8s10.org and I built the truck at the top of all the forum pages It's a 92 s10 with a 92 5.7L TPI backed by a 700r4 and a 7.5 rear with a powertrax hooking up the 3.42 gears. All that power needs to come to a halt so I installed 12" Baer disc brakes all the way around. I did all the custom mods to it with the exception of the seat upholstery and the checkerboard grafix on the sides.

My latest project is a 96 blazer 2dr 4x4 that I'm going to convert to AWD and put a 6.0L LSx v8 into. I'm also going to put an Xtreme blazer body kit on it and a RAW xtreme blazer rollpan.

Now I'm not here to make a ty clone and I don't need a bunch of AWD info. Fact is I love sy's and ty's and wish I could find one at a reasonable price. I pretty much joined becuase I wanted to get a feel for what you guys are using for tire size with bigger wheels. I plan to use Dale Jr killer chome wheels and I already know I need a 2" spacer in the rear. I'm also interested in seeing if anyone has done a mini tub to get wider tires under the rear. That and I just dig cool s10's.

Maybe in a few years. I gotta put my money in the blazer 1st. I gotta friend over on the v8 board that has about 7 s10's in all different stages of project vehicles. He's got alot of irons in the fire. I've got a lot of projects myself and I'm working on putting a garage out back of my house if the builder can come back with a number that's in my price range. I also have a 76 T/A, a 69 2 dr fastback Impala, a 79 v8 4spd monza, and another hatchback monza that I would love to give the prostreet treatment to as projects that need my attention.

Glad to see you over here Craig! I'm surprised more of the guys over there (superbee and grappler especially) have never wandered over here. In any case, welcome, and hopefully you'll stick around and share some sage advice.

thought so. I'm in southwest IL. Chester. Home of Popeye. The creater of popeye was born here, so the whole town is popeye theme'd We even have the "popyeye picnic" which is a a town fair.
how far from Polo? my girlfriends brother is a cop there.

When I first read I was thinkin popeyes chicken was founded in the town of chester (chesters chicken) I was thinking major conflict there . Ok Ok I quess Im not the comedian of the century. Polo is 45 min to a hour.

I do have to admit I'm a mid-westerner, originally. Born and raised just outside Fond Du Lac WI then moved to Milwaukee. Joined the USMC and now in Jacksonville NC. IT'S TOO DAMN COLD up there in the winter for me (I say that and the temps here are supposed to be near 100* today)
