Re: 9 sec Bowtie build

Picked up my new oil pan for the Bowtie build. Helps knowing people in the business Stef's Oil Pans really went above and beyond on my ideas and for less then other sheet metal pans out there. They put a scrapper, windage tray, trap door in and also put the dipstick tube in the pan for me

Well after waiting 4 months. My custom billet cam came from Bullet Racing. It's a a solid roller and thanks to Steve Morris racing engines for helping me out and matching this to my heads and turbo setup to make optimum power.

Now just waiting on the machine shop to finish everything engine should be back home end of the week or early the next week. Then motor goes in truck and it's off to Amercian Racing in new York to have it's custom ss 1.75 headers built.

Valves are 2.080 x 5.240 x 11/32 intake and 1.600 x 5.269 x 11/32 and heads are ported by Al Dickson at HRD

Very impresive, to see people building showcar-quality stuff takes their time to write up the progress here, this truck is waaay out of my leage, but I like reading Popular Hot Rodding as well. Your truck and the "FastCars" build is two threads I am hooked on, Way to go.

HOld on here one fn minute! Those pics of the engine bay with the show car quality stuff is MY TRUCK!!!

Wtf?

Everyone reading this is thinking this is his truck and he did all this when in fact these are old pics taken of my truck!!! unfnbeleivable.

Nothng like getting credit when you didnt do jacksht.

Ummmm did you read the thread or only look at the pictures. There are only 2 shots of an engine bay and on top of the very first one it says it is your truck and that he bought the front mount off of it. The picture was shown to display the front mount.

If you want a pat on the back all you have to do is ask but you kinda went off the deep end there.

Yup, that's all I saw too. I don't think he claimed anything that wasn't his Ed... he mentioned you in every pic that is of your truck and is just referencing the parts he got from you. I have bad days in the past and reacted like you cuz I didn't have time to look at the details. No problems that I see.

Ed here is were I referenced you truck and said it was urs. In know way was I trying to reference my truck as yours. If it came across that way I apologize. I was just referencing your setup when showing what the front mount looked like. Hell I'll even take the pics down if they piss you off

Re: 9 sec Bowtie build

I just picked up from Ed Hess his old front mount intercooler setup that is built as part of the radiator support ( while it was a little twisted from the wall contact we already gotten it straightened an rewelded like new thanks Ed)

Here again I referenced it as ur setup and how it looked on ur truck. Trust me when I tell you, your engine bay and my engine bay will never look anything alike other then the front mount

ralph,

bill wont mind if we get off topic in his thread so... lol

front stuff is done, front motor plate ( and yes its polished) plate, modded rad support rad is mounted inside the support for future v8 upgrades if desired similar to how the old fmic was inside the rad support top mount is polished, firewall modded & painted, spring perches done, Springs are chrome, brakelines w2a piping. chrome alternator now mounted down low so easy valve cover access. headers no longer mangled from the wall.

inside, has double frame rail, lower floor done, upper floor done, w2a ic, inside needs column, pedals, shifter placements. dash is back in.

rear end,
lot of the stuff is fabbed accrding to mr keif but till the quarters get bolted back on ( they bolt to the cab now) nothing is done. This is supposed to happen next and the human sizing stuff on the inside will come last. Otherwise the main chassis from the 4 link brackets forward is done done. 25.2 chassis cert is ready, 1st inspection req'd a few changes that are done so it will pass this time.

There's probly more done worth mentioning but old age is started to kick in while I wait for rip van winkle to wake up and get to work. What year is it?

Re: 9 sec Bowtie build

Well I haven't updated this post in awhile. Between buying and remodeling a new house and the wife and I and having our beautiful baby girl. But now back to the project. I ran into a problem with the crankshaft specialties crank shaft. PLEASE EVERYONE BE ADVISED DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CRANKSHAFT SPECIALTIES AND OWNER DOUG ROWE. (He business has been shut down by the bank he is now doing business out of his house. Which is empty and has a forsale sign out front. He has mulptiple complaint from people on yellow bullet and when googling reviews of his company.) I sent him back my crank which turned out to be GN crank, he told me ha a new billet crank for me and sold my crank to a customer. So after 6 moths of dealing with his lies and having to involve the Cordova Tn police departments economical crimes department I have no crank and I'm out $3k. So after just getting my taxes back this week Ive ordered a Sonny Bryant crank in 8-10 weeks will have that. So today I was able to move my truck from its old building to the comforts of my new Syclone inspired garage.

It's nice to finally see the CCW's out in the light and the 335 under the back look like its mini tubbed. Moving it and getting it back out in the sun as motivated me to get this project done.
