Yeah sorry bud. They wheels aren't ever leaving they just look amazing on the truck. I just think the back has to come down some more. As right now it has 2 belltech leaf springs in the back and I think it needs to come down at least another inch

Re: 9 sec Bowtie build

Well I haven't updated this post in awhile. Between buying and remodeling a new house and the wife and I and having our beautiful baby girl. But now back to the project. I ran into a problem with the crankshaft specialties crank shaft. PLEASE EVERYONE BE ADVISED CRANKSHAFT SPECIALTIES AND OWNER DOUG ROWE IS A THIEF. I sent him back my crank which turned out to be GN crank, he told me ha a new billet crank for me and sold my crank to a customer. So after 6 moths of dealing with his lies and having to involve the Cordova Tn police departments economical crimes department I have no crank and I'm out $3k. So after just getting my taxes back this week Ive ordered a Sonny Bryant crank in 8-10 weeks will have that. So today I was able to move my truck from its old building to the comforts of my new Syclone inspired garage.

It's nice to finally see the CCW's out in the light and the 335 under the back look like its mini tubbed. Moving it and getting it back out in the sun as motivated me to get this project done.
Karma is a bitch,huh?

Talk aboot the pot caliing the kettle black.

**** you and your build pot :fist:

Pay your bill,Bill.

Technically with him listed as a current doghouse member , how far out of line was it really ? It may not be constructive to our small community today I will agree , but doesn't being listed in the "DH" come with some understanding that someone on the board may say something about it at some point ?

If bill would have not stated that "person x is a thief" would anything have been said honestly ? In the first post you thank Harry for the crank , then in post I believe 24 you state it only cost you 2k , either way it sounds different than what you've now posted . That is all that I wanted to mention , getting screwed always sucks .

I bought the crank from Harry Anderson, but Harry was told it was a 4.3 crank from Doug when he bought it new. Harry the helped me get back in contact with Doug and has been nothing but helpful through the process. I paid Harry $2k for the crank but if you know how much they cost or what it costs to order a new one. Sonny Bryant , Callie's and Crower all want the same amount for a new $2900 bucks. We have since tried calling Doug from a female coworkers phone and he gives the same detail mailing me check and then we can do business. I've had people from Yellow Bullet who live in the area go by both his locations and have friends the work at Comp Cam where he used to have a building 7 miles from and they new the bank has seized his building.

And while I understand being DH memeber comes with some slack. People make mistakes when they are young and stupid. And would not post in a post just to bash someone and tell them **** you. But I guess someone people can do whatever they want. Mrking you can probably say since you bought stuff from me that people make mistakes and can make changes.

I must say, I really enjoy this build thread. I can remember seeing this truck way back I think @ Atco before a hooters meet when it was all together. I think he was running an open dump too. At that point Ed's truck had a power bed cover and a sun visor....Nice to be able to follow these trucks for 10 years and see the progress.

On a side note to the DH membership. I think its great that Bills stuck around to enjoy his truck and still be a productive member of the syty community. There are plenty who got into the doghouse, could'nt cope, and simply took their shit and left.

Keep us updated on the build Bill. And like everyone else, I'll take those wheels if you dont want them anymore.

Jim,

You are correct that's when I had the first build with McCoy vortec and a pte52 truck was running 12.20's at that time untuned. If had the truck for 11 years now. Everyone wants the wheels I hope to eventually be able to show everyone in person so they can see them up close. Thanks

Haven't updated in a while. Finally got the crankshaft situation sorted out. Thanks to Sonny Bryant. Just got the pontiac lower manifold back from the powder coaters. So I assembled the polished wilson elbow and the 90mm accufab throttle body all together just to see what needs changing. Waiting on 160lb injectors anyone need a brand new set of trickflow 120lb injectors

Bowtie block. When doing a build this big you def should have a Bowtie block. I toyed with the idea time and time again about staying with a stock block and trying it but just could bring myself to sink all this money in parts into a stock block and Harry Anderson told me I was foolish. Trust me I would tell most people to just do an LS build for the amount of money it takes to do a Bowtie build. But I'm a purest and without a v6 it's just not the same

well my headers are here they look amazing and I'm super happy with them. The crossover is different then most but it gives it equal length and makes the turbo sit right behind passenger headlight.
