Thread says danimal thinks he can pull an 8 turning it up a notch. Also confirms he really is around 850-870 wheel. Some people thought it was much higher.
That was not a serious dyno. If you're referencing the 7-800whp dyno.

It is much higher,what I said was I only ran it at that level,I still have several hundred hp on tap with the push of a(boost controller)button.Lets not get it twisted,it does have a 8 sec pass in it,with the wick turned up,never once did I say it would go 8's at that level....that being said I agree that 1000awhp would get it done.

Yes we did, I was there first hand. We never got a good dyno run as the fans couldn't keep things cool and it was not worth the risk of hurting the motor. So a full pull at power was never made.
Same reason he doesn't have numbers to post, at some level of HP it makes it difficult to get accurate dyno numbers.
I think more important is to run XYZ time you must have everything. Throwing a top fuel motor in my typhoon surely won't make it run 300 miles an hour.
With that said I would guess 1500hp to run in 8's, with the right suspension to go with it all.

I prefer to measure it in dollars instead of Hp. In that case if staying v6 I'd say north of 60 k.

The first time I saw your awd burnout video in front of the shop my draw literally dropped. No disrespect. It's straight nasty. I didn't realize you had more left in it. What's your motor build? Stock with new pistons, ARP rod and head bolts?

-Approximaste Weight with driver

- 13 second builds = $10K
- 12 second builds = $20K
- 11 second builds = $30K
- 10 second builds = $40K
- 9 second builds = $50K
- 8 second builds = $60K

That still shot is from the video I shot. Pete (EPIX) and I were there on a T-n-T Saturday.
John's 2WD Ty is another example of beauty meets brawn. I like everything about that truck (except for the turbos ).
The question asked here is the same one I asked in my earlier thread. I have my thoughts, but was looking to see what others felt. Like most threads on syty anymore, the original question gets obfuscated by meaningless banter from internet experts. Maybe that's one of the reasons so many old-school syty guys have moved on...
