Is anyone running a stock truck that boosts 14.7 all day?

I was in the ty today wich is bone stock and it overboosts some. I would like to keep it stock so i was wondering is it actually possible to have these trucks run within their factory limits with the crappy boost controller they come with or did all of these overboost from gm?

i think they all had a tendacy to do it stock. the band aid fix for it is to port the wastegate

mine is stock and has no problem running 14.7lbs of boost all day. It used to overboost, i adjusted the wastegate and everything has been fine since.

+1 no overboost for me. 3" cat, ATR exhaust.

No over/under boost problems here thankfully. The previous owner spent a lot of time and $$ getting it right though. Sy now has Magnaflow cat and RPM 3" kit with muffler. Good luck!

ok i guess i will mess with it then. It doesnt appear that the gate was ever touched so i dont understand how the rod would need adjustment but whatever... ill give it a shot.

If your wastegate valve is a bit sticky,it could overboost.
Take the wastegate arm off & check to see if the flapper valve(wastegate) opens & closes smoothly.

probably because it's 17+ years old and it doesn't work like it used too.
