If I remove the egr on my sy will I have overheating issues in over a hundred degree weather or in stop and go traffic?

Well it was not the grammer I was quoting but the fact that it looks like you said the EGR was there to cool down the intake?
The way you described the EGR operation is right. Cooler intake air contains more oxygen molecules per given area. So, that means you can mix more fuel in the mixture because there is more oxygen. More heat in the CC is power, as long as it is controlled(ie. detonation)The reason I was asking. The way I've always learned is that by removing the egr the volumetric efficiency of each cylinder is improved greatly. The egr pumps the nox gas back into the cylinder which takes up volume creating a smaller combustion and cooling the combustion chamber. Therefore when removed you get full combustion in each cylinder and combuston chamber temps go way up, but intake temps go way down I was just wondering if the intake temps will even out the cc temps. So if this is true which temp would you rather have hot because if the cc's are getting to hot that will cause lotsa friction especially in Phoenix weather.
