Heading back to the Track tomorrow. Haven't gone all year. It's guna be 65* out so it should run good. Hoping for an 11.9 or better.

For those that don't remember, I ran 12.31 @108 last year with the Stock trans/converter. Now I have the Built Trans and 3200 Vigilante and 2-Step. Feels better than last year, so we'll see.

I will also be Racing my dad's 08 SRT8 Jeep. First time we will be racing side by side at the track. The run will be without a boost launch just to be fair :lol:

good luck! you'll probably need a boost launch to hit that 11.9

Yeah that would be a cool video against your dad's srt8. Two races though against each other one with and with out a boost launch. Is your dad's jeep stock ? If its stock I would think even with out you boost launching you should edge him out . Good luck I think you reach your goal.

Yep, I ran 12.35 @111 same tune as last year. I had a 1.76 60' but got a 1.74 stock converter.

I ran with the 2step and just regular building boost with no difference. I didn't even gain anything from locking up the converter.

I did launch with 5-6psi, but according to E95 I need to launch with more boost. Maybe this is just how fast my Ty is guna run with just 20psi and low 20s* Timing. I probably need more boost for 11's. But I don't get how the 3200 stall didn't gain me anything. Not even a 1.6 60'. Feels better than last year for sure :roll:

Oh well, won't be able to run again, this is the last month I'll be driving the Ty before winter. I'll have videos up shortly!

Sean, the stock heads/cam just didn't work well with the high stall converter and your bigger turbo....These parts all need to work together to see e.t. gains, but the fact that you picked up 3 mph shows that something changed. Your new rebuilt trans is prob why you picked up mph. (no more slipping).

I still say if you didn't spin off the line it could have used more boost. To bad you can't go back and try a few different things.

I still confused on how your not much faster then me. Your top end yes but low end were almost even.. I really wonder if you need more boost off the line? That day we raced I was around 12psi on launch and had little spin. You shoulda destroyed me lol, get that boost up off the line.. Also do you warm up tires before you run?

Hey, not to bust your bubble, but the fastest 1/4 mi time I have seen you post (at the track, not dm) was a 13.7 @ 97mph. 12.3 @ 111 is on a different planet.....If I remember correctly the last time you went to the track it didn't go as you planned either....

It must be a 12.35 & 111mph weekend; That is what my Syclone ran on Friday (though my 12.35 had a 110 trap speed.).

Were you spinning? I think Matt has right idea about launching higher. It's promising that you have a 111mph trap speed. I think you need ~111-112 mph to get into the 11's. I know you ran slightly quicker with the stock converter, but if I remember correctly that you usually ran in the upper 12's. Perhaps your comparing a perfect launch on your stock TC vs an average launch on the 3200 stall.

I would launch it in the 12 to 15 lb range. This is what I did with mine. You already have gained some mph! 25/26 lbs seamed to be the sweet spot with my truck with 26degrees timing. Seemed pretty safe with my truck. Remember mine finally decided to let go at aprox 32to33 lbs! So you've still got quite a bit more left in it!
