Re: Good Ty mechanic in Colorado
Just wanted to give an update. I've remedied a few of the bigger issues. New turbo to ic tube installed, new ic to intake coupler installed, new coolant overflow (replacing a crushed can of mountain dew

)installed, and finally the most involved, a complete redo of the e-fan (had a really ghetto hack job with a pair of fans dangling off of the radiator with zip ties and a gaudy yellow wire routed to a manual switch under the dash) I ended up with a dodge stratus shroud setup based on Mike's recommendation (thanks Mike), that I re-wired with a flex-a-lite fan controller, and a bit of aluminum for a top shroud... very proud of the results.
Just got the title in the mail yesterday, so I took it in for registration and emissions. It passed on the second attempt and I'm now legally registered.
Now I'm working one thing at a time. My next steps are to get a new rear main seal, and probably get a new converter installed at the same time... getting a higher stall because we found I'll probably need a new turbo soon (shaft play on the stocker and I'll probably go for a 20g)
I have a speedometer issue I need to fix as well...
need to replace the door lock actuator in the drivers side too, and already replaced the window motor in the passenger side...
see what you guys mean when you say these can be money pits
