CRL window

Just wanted to post a couple of quick pics of my CRL window. I had it sitting in storage and collecting dust for years. I finally cleaned it up and installed it last week. Gotta say, the convertible feeling is pretty cool. :D

As soon as the parts arrive, I'm installing a factory, 4-window switch and the required 10-way harness.

Although Im not a fan of the window a 2nd props for the thought on using that switch set up. 8) 8)

Holy crap thats cool......Mind if I ask where you got the window from....Did a search on CRL and couldn't find anything.

Looks badass, and the switch idea is definately 8)

Thanks guys. Thinking of using the 4th toggle as a ghost/security switch. Looking for suggestions if anyone has a better idea.

I got it off the Net from a sunroof guy in AZ (IIRC). He was trying to get rid of it because he couldn't sell it. I guess very few S-trucks wanted a Marlboro window.

Here's their link. I don't think they make this type of window anymore.

just talked to marty about the thing... theres 2 availible that he knows of. In excess of 700 dollars though (he says theres actually one out there on your island)

Hehe...I think Marty is referring to my window 'cause I emailed him last year to ask about potential problems (leaks, rattling noises, etc.). I promised him first chance if I decided to sell it. I know of other SyTyers that have the window in storage, but I haven't heard of any other brand new CRLs.

Yep - That was your that i was talking about.

Yep i bought Peter's.

Switch idea. I will try to dig up a picture of the switch that i used in the Indy Syclone. It fit in the Dash right above the Headlights. It looked factory.

Couple of notes, if anyone finds a need...

The 4-button window switch to match the Sy interior is part #15608560 (DARK CHARCOAL, not charcoal).

The 10-way connector is expensive and not really necessary (oh well). If I did it again, I would use a salvage yard, 2-switch connector and modify it to fit the 4-switch.
