And this is where the Red Wire ends up...I know it's black there but it's Red after the fuse.

Well I figured out if I unplug that red wire my fuel pump shuts off. What's that all about?

Does that wire go from your fuse box to your pump or ...?

If to the pump it could a attempt at running more voltage to it? What gauge do you think the wire is?

It goes to a relay on the firewall (drivers side). Pic is on page 2 I believe .... red wire.

It's kinda hard to see from the pic, but it looks they have you going fuse box, fuseable link, red wire, fuel pump relay, and then the orange wire does it come off the relay and look like it goes back to the pump?

I'm going all off memory since my harness is out of the truck, hopefully someone can look at this and confirm it.

Maybe they had bad wiring from the fuse box and just bypassd it instead of fixing it. I can't imagine why you would run it like this unless the origanal wires were bad or they went wire a larger gauge wire. You need to find a wiring diagram and see what color the original wire was from the box to the relay and check its condition, atleast thats where I would start. HTH

Tan wire disconnected. On the passenger side under the carpet, towards the top near the firewall.

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

K got that....rough idle kinda straightened itself out. Now white mark is to the right of the tube thing. Where does it need to be? First notch? And where is the dist. screw? Back? Side? Which side?

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

Mark was set (w/o wire) to the first notch closest to the right. Wired up the mark moved to the left of all the notches and idles like a dream.

Test run!!!

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

Sound to me like this may be a racetronix hotwire kit that's installed.

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

You have to have a or make a special wrench for it, I think it is 5/8 ( you should double check that ) Amazing what a little timing can do hunh!

Did you look at the way it was wired though? I've never done one but from the way everyone talks about the kit being that great I hope he doesn't have one because it looks way ghetto like that.

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

You need a 3/8 thread bolt with a 14mm or a 9/16 hex head that is 1/2 inch long.

Now learn to type :rotf:

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

New belt tensioner today fixed my squeaking problem.

Dialed in my timing and FPR a little.

Got my pillar mount gauge setup and light up.

Truck is running great. Now I think the rear main seal is leaking. =(

Question now is my boost is peaking over 14psi. Hits 10 for a couple secs shoots just past 14psi. Bad?

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

Target is 14.7 so the boost level itself is fine. How slowly or quickly it builds boost is determined by adjustment of the wastegate rod. You can mess around with it if you want to get the desired result. Otherwise I think you're good. I'm goin through all the same crap you are right now.
