KETCH-UP said:If you use Datamaster or Diacom or something similar, you can plot data from the computer. The sampling rate is better than 1 per second. Plotting things like knock retard can help when making tuning decisions, and avoid engine damage. In a situation as you just mentioned, "Is the tranny slipping" the data can help. You can plot rate of change of MPH against RPM for each gear. The difference in the rate of change through each gear tells you the accurate slip percentage for each gear. You will then know precisely what is wrong! When you advance to boost launching this data can be used to determine tire slippage in lower gears...

Boostedpimp said:wait a sec.. are you saying that you T'd into the vac line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator for a boost gauge?
BacDoc said:Actually to the MAP sensor. I plan on redoing it later. I just needed a quick setup to check my boost.
Now whats my differential diagnosis for over boosting?

Black Knight said:From what I hear NO!! Get a real Walbro 255.
Black Knight said:I think I read somewhere you shouldn't T into the MAP because it will change readings it gets and effect performance, that why everyone ties into the brake booster line. I could be wrong but you might want to check into this.
BacDoc said:I'm hearing IAC vavle will make it run sluggish. I saw a couple threads but no answers or outcomes. I see that alot here....no follow ups.
