WWsy/ty.netD?

Really, get datamaster before pushing it! Check converter by going along over 50 mph and rest foot on brake with throttle steady. If it seems like a mini downshift, then ok.

No codes.

I think I might have bad gas or a fuel problem.

The $70 fuel pumps on eBay any good?

I got nothing as far as vac or boost goes. Just tried to hook autometer gauge (red marks) and got nothing. I can't even feel but maybe a small amount of air. Is that right?

Ok I routing through the fuel reg line and it works. The truck hits 10 psi for a couple secs and then hit pegs 14psi and thats when it seem to not go awaywhere. Tranny?

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

If you use Datamaster or Diacom or something similar, you can plot data from the computer. The sampling rate is better than 1 per second. Plotting things like knock retard can help when making tuning decisions, and avoid engine damage. In a situation as you just mentioned, "Is the tranny slipping" the data can help. You can plot rate of change of MPH against RPM for each gear. The difference in the rate of change through each gear tells you the accurate slip percentage for each gear. You will then know precisely what is wrong! When you advance to boost launching this data can be used to determine tire slippage in lower gears...

Gotcha. I don't think it's the trans slipping but the computer retarding the timing. I ordered a cable and new fuel pump. Hurry up and wait. :(

Yeah, a diagnostic tool such as datamaster is crutial with these vehicles. I run Diacom (old old version) but it works and I've fixed a lot of little things since I bought my Typhoon. Very good investment

wait a sec.. are you saying that you T'd into the vac line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator for a boost gauge?

Actually to the MAP sensor. I plan on redoing it later. I just needed a quick setup to check my boost.

Now whats my differential diagnosis for over boosting?

I think I read somewhere you shouldn't T into the MAP because it will change readings it gets and effect performance, that why everyone ties into the brake booster line. I could be wrong but you might want to check into this.

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

I'm hearing IAC vavle will make it run sluggish. I saw a couple threads but no answers or outcomes. I see that alot here....no follow ups.

Yeah that usually happens and then you have to start a new thread about the same thing because the old one was never finished. I make a stand here and now to never let one of my threads go unfinished :rotf: guess I better go check them
