Yesterday: Put clear bumper and side markers on it and new tail lights (still deciding if I like the tail lights or not).

Today: Getting it registered and spending the rest of the day giving it a good detail.

Drove it around all over today. I responded to a local craigslist add that had s10 sheet metal for sale. The guy bought a straight and rust free s10 for its frame. I drove the sy out to the dudes house to check out the fenders since my stockers are rust city. I pull up and the guy comes out of his garage with a big smile on his face. Turns out he loves Syclones, had a bud with one back in the day etc... It also turns out he is a corvair freak and was going to use the s10 frame to make a corvair hot rod, corvair body on the s10 frame with a front engine v8.
Cool guy. He reminded me of Jeff in a number of ways, cept he walked normal. He had projects all over the damn place. We ended up pulling the fenders off the s10 and bsing for a few hours. Good to have my truck goin again...

Put the NGK UR5 plugs into my Ty...and, of course, ended up replacing something else while I was at it! LOL Taking the tire off to make it easier, one of the lug studs stripped out and effed the lug and the stud up. A quick trip to Autozone fixed that. I may end up just buying enough to replace ALL of them and do it when I get a wild hair one weekend! LOL

Well, I finally had a chnce working on it (I have a newborn), so with the rear windows removed, I took off all the gasket silicone material, and found some surface rust, nothing bad. I also finished plumbing my garage for my air compresson, bought a air regulator and filter, and a DA sander. Way to go harbor freight!

Going to post this in my build thread, but I thought I would share it here since it is what I did both to and for my Sy today. Actually all weekend. This is the booth that we will be painting the Sy in on Tuesday. I filled 2 55 gal trash cans with paint, the booth has never been cleaned since 1992.

The Sy got primed and blocked 3 times and is now totally wetsanded with 800 grit, ready for base.

In the past few days...

Swapped out a CCHE with another
Fixed a leaky rear pinion seal
Diagnosing trans shift issue (looking like the TV cable is the culprit)

Not quite sure they are to actual factory specs (which is what I would have preferred) but they are close enough IMO. I just taped out the ones that were on there and laid in the same position. I'm sure they're off somewhat and Jimmy will let me know every time he sees me that they are. ;)
