Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Got everything back together. Still some little things left to do. Will be picking up my Downpipe from the Coater sometime this week.

Got my Downpipe back from the Coater and installed the exhaust. No leaks or odd noises. And finally no more BLUE SMOKE on start up. Also uploaded a 60lb Bin from Phil Graham that Rob helped him with and runs great. Will have to wait till April for the insurance to kick in and I will start Tuning.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Decided to go Straight pipe out the back. The SLP resonator I had on their didn't sound that good. I love the Spool up whistle!

This thing pulls like an animal already. I'm on the stock converter and it still Spooled like the stock turbo, kinda unbelieveable. I didn't look at the Boost gauge on this pull, but it hauled. Can't wait to start tuning it soon.

Installed Front end Limiters to eliminate the Squat on Launch. Thanks to (SYCLONE#1531) for the info on them.

Once I get the Ty tuned more and get a HD Propshaft, I'll go to the track and really test them out.

Installed my HD Propshaft from D&R Driveline. Only thing left is to replace my Drivers side CV Axle, and I'm ready to go to the Track.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

I noticed you have a propshaft loop for sale, why not keep it and run it in conjunction with the DR shaft? I also have the DR shaft and plan on installing a loop. Maybe the HD shaft will never let go but if it ever did it sure would make a mess of things.

Love the work you've done on the truck. Can't wait to see what it does at the track. Keep up the good work.

The stock Prop lasted 19 years, and held up to the numerous Track days last year. Pretty confident that this HD Propshaft will hold up just fine. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks,

I see where you're coming from. I guess I'm a firm believer in Murphy's Law, especially when dealing with Syty's. Well, hope the truck hooks up for you at the track. Keep us posted.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Ken (Warmpancakes) was nice enough to drive over to my house and drop off a Stage 3 Race/Street Trans Rebuild kit by Brian Hartman, along with a TCS 9/11 2800 Stall by Hartman.

I will be rebuilding my Spare Sy trans in my Auto trans class this semester with these parts and will put it in the Ty when it's all done this Winter. I definetely needed this Stall converter for my 63mm Turbo. Can't Wait!!

Just wanted to say, wow! What a labor of love. That is an awesome truck dude, you should be proud of it! Great job.
