Turbo Blankets: update SYTY PROTOTYPE PICS

Yeah how I see it (in theory) the hotter the exhaust gas/air is the higher the pressure and faster speed it will be at and this will help spin the turbo for faster spool up. But I would be very surprised if any increase in performance would be noticeable, at all, by seat of the pants, datamaster or dyno. But I could be wrong.

I notice in chip burning by leaning out the fuel mixture around point where boost vacuum cross that I was able to acheived better spool up.

I brought him a stock turbo back in the beginning. And it fits fine on my 20g. Will get some pics and post.

Definitely put me down for an intercooler & stock turbo blanket. While the DP sleeve looks nice, I think I'll just utilize the header wrap I've had on my shelves for some time now.

I could have done it a few weeks ago but now my weekends are booked for the next month or so... maybe doug can step up and handle this one.

Hey Mike, Let me know if I can help. Stock truck, only AFPR & relocated KB Air Cleaner installed, still need to install that fuel pump i brought from you I will be driving up to Fresno tomorrow for a meeting on 7-8-04 & will be driving back that evening.

i called these guys to begin with...all i can say is their salesmanship hasn't been there for us...again, i couldn't handle a GP on these, but they should be able to if thats all they do...maybe i should call tomorrow and ask for the owner? maybe he would like to sell a few blankets... they should be willing and able to produce these and sell them to anyone that calls them IMO...if they don't want to come through, maybe another manufacturer will? i'll email them a link to this thread tonight... for anyone else who is willing to type one out, here is their website... www.insultech.com jeez, they already have basic measurements and prototypes built as far as i know..what are they waiting for??. :roll:
