I mean it. There is this kid around my town who would always just look at my in my Camaro. Now he does the same thing to me in the Sy.

He's got the double scoop'd hood on his black Lighting. And a few other gay looking things on it. I even heard him rev at me once while I was in my Z28.

Makes me wonder if he knows what a Syclone really is..Wish I could get him next to me in the Camaro let alone the Sy.

I had a guy chase after me once in a Lightning. I took a right on red and he was stuck at the light on the opposite side. I took off down the road and saw him trying to catch up after his light turned green. I got off the road and saw him staring, as he passed me it was funny. This was the first time I drove it and the first time I bet he's seen one.

I had a Lightning rev on me once when I had my Ty, but it was rush hour there was all kinds of traffic. He definately knew what I had.

you, most of the L owners i run it just look at the truck in awe. From time to time i get the "how fast is it really." Then my reply "wanna find out." The answer is always no. I do'nt know what they are scared of.

My brother has a 04 Cobra and Lightning. I ran him from a 20 mph roll with my 911 Turbo (before I bought my Sy) and for a truck, it was pretty impressive. Never got a chance to run the one I really wanted to go up against (the Cobra) but none the less, if you catch a Lightning during a roll, I hope you have some mods done to your truck.

I can't wait to get a race with a Lightning, from a roll is fine by me. I just can't seem to make it happen, every time I see one some senior citizen is driving it!

I have gotten up next to a few, i tried to play with a siver 01 but the driver didnt even look over, WTF. A beat the crap out of a 01white at the track 3-4 times. Messed with one on the highway but didnt really get to play much due to traffic.

From a roll on the highway from 65+ they do ok, but can be served from a stop.

LOL... yeah I had had a kid pull up and ask me "is that a real syclone" I said would you like to put a little money down on a race to find out? I got the same reply... "nooo...."

Made me laugh but then I thought about what a arragont ass I was being, so now I tone it down a bit now days.

Sitting on the side of the road at the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge last weekend.... had a few beers in me... A lightning rolls buy and I ask the guy.... " Are those lightnings fast...his buddy in the passenger seat says Oh Yeah and nodded..... to which I replied... I've got a gmc six cylinder truck that says its not.... Passenger looked at me like I was a dumbass... the driver told him to shut up and rolled on....

My dad has a Ty and I have the Lightning in my signature... Don't under estimate a Lightning, most of them are in the 12's and a lot are in the 11's and 10's... I love both and I am on this site looking to possibly purchase one...

This statement amazes me. I spent a couple weekends at Pomona couple years back, and watched ALOT of lightnings run. Man those things were all over the place down there. Not a single one of them got out of the 14's. I'm sure there are a few of them in the 12's but MOST of them, I hardly think so. Hell every one of them on the street I ran was an easy kill and a confused lighting owner. Even my stock 350z ate one up on the freeway pretty bad, but when we got off to a highway and hit a light together from the dig he did hang in there for a good while till the z started to pull on him again.

Hey, when is that new 500hp? lightning suppose to be comming out?

I don't think it will be released. It was projected for production, but it's gonna be unlikey and definitly not in 06( I think) as it was planned.

I've heard from some people that the lightning won't be coming back ever, and if it did it wouldn't be till 06 or 07. I don't know if its true or not, but I've heard from more than one person...

What is that for... They run 13.6's stock and my buddy has one that is stock down to the paper filter and ran 13.47.

You can get into the 12's VERY easily... a 4# lower pulley, chip, and filter and you are putting 390-400 to the wheels and running 12.8's. That is all for $900. I am really surprised that you would rip a Lightning or roll your eyes at my statement. I never insulted the syty's. Johnny Lightning ran 9.77 in his Lightning, and there are a ton of people in the 10's including me, trust me, the Lightnings take very well to the mods. I like both vehicles a lot. I am going to buy a Ty soon for daily driving, My Lightning get 10.5 mpg in the city and I know the ty's are not good on gas, but they are better then that and they have a lot more space.

The Lightnings are not dead, but they will be out probably two years after the release of the Adrenaline. 2009 year model in 2008 is what you can expect.
