I was hoping the Bully Sy would make a good run.

I would have LOVED to see them get their stuff running really well (not that a 10.03 is bad at all).

The Sweden vs Colorado was the best race I've seen at the Nats - only because nobody has really been able to compete with the Hoovers.

Too bad Robert couldn't have made more passes so everyone could have witnessed an 8 second run. At least you are optimistic with your cage design.

I was there. My son and I went over. Tried to be nice because it was painfully OBVIOUS they had alienated themselves. My 7 year old son wanted to look in their trailor (just curious), it was empty except for some tools. Got the cold shoulder. None of them made eye contact. They didn't want us NEAR the truck....I'd bet money they thought I wanted to look their truck over to see if there were MORE NHRA vioilations. Was that my fault? Nope. You think they may have felt some guilt after the commotion THEY started. Yep. I wasn't and still won't hold any grudge against them, but like I said, I was there, I saw it. My wife and I were sitting about 10 feet away when the "trans blanket" complaint happened. Real "friendly" atmosphere. My wife described it as a "bunch of old ladies complaining." You guys ever think that Robert may have been able to help you with your obvious fueling issue?(He's been there done that). Can you imagine how you could've run if you would been fellow syty owners instead of competitors? If he would've helped you, you might've busted low 9's/high 8's instead of the engine. The environment just didn't feel right. To say it spoiled it for some is an understatement.

It amazes me. Over the years I've seen guy help each other out. Do plug changes, help with tuning, show guys how to put in a fuel pressure regulator, what have you....I need help here, what is the quarter mile time you need to run in order to quit helping other guys and become a hinderance? That's the difference between the community now and the community years ago.

I got in from the nats about an hour or two ago. The bully group stayed to themselves and blew up their motor. If they don't wanna post here or go to the Nats again who cares. I'd rather watch Robert run an illegal 8 second pass then watch some sy which obviously had time and money involved (just not enough) snap crackle and pop down the track. The group walked around with their bully team jerseys on like they were some sort of gang. Maybe if they didn't outcast themselves and NARC on Robert they would have had a better time. In my area the saying goes "snitches get stitches" Instead they got a blown head gasket cause they didn't understand the concept of letting off the gas when the truck is obviously jacked.

I'd rather have a 14 second typhoon and be friends with the great community that is syty.net than drive a 10 second truck and be a dousche bag.

Another thing I don't understand is how people are getting bent out of shape about the tech stuff. If there was a phone call made ahead of time then that is shitty, but in the same regards why wasn't that thought of in the first place? Don't you think if your going to spend $10,000 to run at a track you would make sure you would be able to run at that track?

Sure say there has never been tech problems in the past, but then again in the past it always has been 1 or 2 10 second trucks and then a bunch of 12-14's. When all said and done ignorance is no excuse.

So how many trucks were there? Has the trend continued in decline at the event? Hmm wonder why? Could it be all the shit talking and telling people not to come back, I am sure that helps the community.

Robert has an amazing truck, and his attitude on here seems to follow that as well, why not let him do the shit talking and posting for HIS truck. All the nutswingers are grasping so tight to his sac he may have trouble with Customs on the way back home. You swingers should follow his suit and stay quiet and have a good time.

Ok.. I'm going to try and be as un-bias as possible about this post. :rant:

First:Robert and his friends...
I talked to all of you several times over the weekend. What a great group of people!!!
Down to earth... they were just glad to be there with everyone else who has the love for these trucks.
I never heard Robert say one negitive word after running Bully. Roberet's dream was to come to the US .. run his truck at the nationals and have a good time, and make new friends. He made his dream come true.. A true sportsman and racer.
Congradulations and would love to have you at every Nationals!!!!!
His truck: Built with thought and craftmanship. The Mild appearance and stealth was awsome Quiet and refined in it's manor. Excellent work! Ok.. I'm bias.. that's my style.

Second: Bully
All of the crew were wearing the "Bully" shirts that have a outline of a muscle guy crossing his arms.This is not exactly inviting to anyone. It does say I'm a Bully so I suppose it's correct.
I went over and looked at the truck with my wife.. no one realy said anything to us in the 15min or so we were around the truck. I think you could have heard a pin drop even with over 10guys around the truck looking at it. It didn't make me exactly want to strike up a conversation so I didn't.
His truck: Very nice paint. Not exactly the colors I'd have chosen but to each his own. The air brush work and detail was done very well. Alot of work and craftsmanship was put into the name Bully on everything. That had to take alot of time and effort. Everything on the truck was built kind of over the top and in your face style as the Bully theme suggests.
It needed alot of tuneing to run right but Odd fire engines are not easy in anyway.

If things would have been more of a friendly race attitude from the start, Robert and Jeff would have been the first people over trying to help get the Bully truck to run right.
That's the way I wish things would have been.
Let's put this years show down as a learning experience.
So... if you come next year.. be humble... don't call anyone .... be a sportsman weather you win or loose and I think you'll have alot more fans. :tup:

Sorry if I offended any of the bully crew.. that's the way I saw things go down. I read the threads... and had a ear on the gossip there at the event. That's just the way it went down.

Thanks again for all the hard work the Admin's and event staff and National crew put into getting it all put together!

I will say that I asked John to show me a few things in his truck like the "Victim Camera" and he gladly with a smile obliged....I shot some pix with my head in the cabin and he was cool with it all. He answered all my Q's with a smile. that was my exposure to the man. I think the attitude and guarded nature of the Bully team was a forced thing by later......" Bed made,now sleep in it " kinda' thing. Everyones' right ...it could of been different.
As posted above earlier.......we'd have LOVED to seen John ask Robert...."dude, where's my tune " ??? And everyone run strong.

In my opinion if Robert could have ran more than 2 or 3 legit passes he would have beat his best time. Ed's truck looks to be a one of a kind truck just like the rest of the low 9 sec trucks. I would love to see Ed and his truck someday.

Don't start with the Ed thing... How many times does it need to be said.. Robert came here to run his truck,make friends and do his best. He's never in any way instigated or implied doing any butt whoopin or anything of the sort. Hell that's why he says out of this $hit talking... He's above all that.

No I dont see a connection between the two but I see high gas prices, busy schedules, and a whole list of other reasons why the attendance has went down over the years. I hate to break it to you but being that there arent a whole lot of these trucks to begin with you arent going to get a huge turn out no matter what. Getting ~40 of these trucks and their owners in one place at the same time is a pretty damn good turnout all things considered.

Go stick your head back in the ground if you don't see a problem with that.

The ONLY thing that needs sticking around here is a sock in your mouth/keyboard.
