Thanks! That means lot to me. I could have cleaned it up better but I just get A.D.D and start doing something else on the truck and forget to get back to it.... :rotf: I'm glad I made you proud.

Re: Sy#1784

Okay so

the RPM stage one it on.
the timing is set to where I need to adjust it while it's running.
the gas tank had 10 gallons of 100 octane.
I have 44lbs of fuel pressure with the vacuum line disconnected.
I have some A/C delco plugs gapped to .030" in the engine.
Tried starting the vehicle with the ultimate chip/3 bar sensor, but has never started with that combo.
When we changed to the stock chip and the 2 bar sensor, we add propane and the engine started up and ran by itself for a minute but me shut it off because we saw smoke and wanted to make sure nothing was leaking, which nothing is.
BUT the engine just turns over now and doesn't start unless we add propane. and then it just sputters and dies. and ideas??

oh and here is a picture of the engine bay now...

It may seem silly, but are you positive that you have the plug wires in the correct firing order on the dist cap?

(ask me how I know)

the firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2 correct? and I set the #1 plug to line up with the rotor after turning the engine by hand and feeling the piston come to TDC with a screwdriver through the spark plug hole. What doesn't make sense to me is that it ran soooo good and smooth when it did start, sounded so good. why did it start that one time but now won't ever sputter unless we add propane? I know we are getting fuel, cause we can smell it and when I pull a spark plug they are wet with fuel. I think I'm going to go get my fuel pressure gauge from work and get some new NGK spark plugs and gap them to factory gap to make sure I'm not just over fueling and under sparking.......I'm really at a loss right now cause I have gotten 8 hours sleep all weekend cause I have been working on trying to get this thing to run.....

Did you try the clear flood routine?
Something about holding the peddle down for so many seconds while you turn the key on. Puts the ECm in a clear flood state.
Sorry, I don't remember the specifcs.

While trying to start the engine with the propane I hold the peddle down to the floor to get more air in the engine. I will try that tonight also.....I'm done using propane, it only gives me false hope..
