Strange... I might refer to your motor as a "custom one off part" if going by your logic. Good thing I dont go by your logic.

What does that statement mean???

When you make a statement like this, it seems a little misleading? yes?
"This year, Jeremy (SixIsEnough) went faster than I did, but with a one of a kind modified stock turbo and custom downpipe that allows the exhaust to flow freer, and the boost to be controlled in a far more intelligent manner"

What's confusing? I explained myself thoroughly in my original post. I used the problematic stock wastegate system and stock downpipe; they did not. The "service port wastegate / 3" downpipe combo" represents a significant advantage that 98% of stock turbo trucks do not have, including mine. Maybe only the handful of people who have pushed a stock turbo truck to this level, can appreciate the difference such a design represents. Take a look (again) at the Datamaster boost graph I posted.

By "one of a kind" I meant a "custom one off part", however you want to refer to it.

Tooky's motor at the time of his "record" was not the stock motor.

I think whoever thinks the other is cheating puts up X$'s and requests a tear down of said part. If part is legal the owner gets it the cash.

I am sure if someone wanted to make jeremy pull his turbo off, he will gladly take the cash and put it with the Stock Turbo champ award this year, and the 4 others he will be getting.

So whats gonna happen when someone that owns a 92 Sy takes it to the stock turbo record? Seeing the turbo is a little different and all.. Would that be a "one of a kind" turbo as well? Or would that be a "factory stock part?"

Is that what you keep telling yourself so you don't have to admit that you were outdone?

The legitimacy of my motor is not in question anymore and hasn't been for years. If you want to continue this charade, you'll need to substantiate your claim with some extraordinary evidence. Otherwise, knock off the flaming.

No, as a matter of fact, I don't think it seems a little misleading. The modification changes the function and performance of the turbo and its integrated wastegate. If you changed the turbine housing altogether, would that still be legitimate? There are no "rules" agreed upon, sufficiently detailed to answer these questions. That's why I said this is all for everyone to draw their own conclusions.

Our group is too small for there to be any ultra serious competitions, with fully detailed rules by some sanctioned racing organization, so these arguments could go on forever.

I said what I ran, I said what I used, and I explained how I did it. I pointed out the difference between my setup and Jeremy's, and that's really all I have to say about this.

***************** urgent the syty website has breaking news*****sorry for the interuption****************

my truck ran 11.52 last year completley stock, w/ a bad turbo and missing on one cylinder....but i can't prove it......... just kidding. you guys are funny.

i would consider stock turbo world record just as it says.......(stock) the way gm shipped it from the factory... if either truck was modified in any way whatsoever then it is not stock... so which one of you is really running a (stock turbo) truck??????????????

now back to your regulary scheduled ( who has the biggest dick thread )

Re: Stock Turbo Record 10/15/03: 12.26 @ 108.6 w/1.72 60' Max RPM: 4650

It depends upon whether or not you feel the integral wastegate and downpipe are part of "the stock turbo", and if they were modified, if you would feel that the turbo is still "stock".

Since the 3" downpipe and wastegate service port modification are rather uncommon, the SyTy Nationals Stock Turbo class rules don't address this discrepency. Jeremy has run faster while still adhering to the 2005 class rules.

That would be me then, if we are going by Tookies standard.

We are not though, so it is Jeremy.

Outdone? I won the Stock turbo class at the nationals three years in a row, racing other people with similar mods. As much as you would like to compete with me, you just dont have it.

It is you that needs to admit you were outdone and accept your lot in life. You brought up this retarded thought about turbo's and "one off" modifications, no one else...

I have already offered Tooky a heads up race at nats. Him -vs- Jeremy straight up.

If he wants to put some $$ behind it when can do that also. Now that he has a aftermarket turbo and 3" dp -vs- our gold plated one off, hand massaged and pampered stocker he should have us beat?
