OK, so Dodge selected FWD on these cars to reduce weight and keep costs down...makes sense now. Seems like Dodge has been using FWD forever (Omni, Daytona, Caravan, Reliant, etc.). I just drove a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix from San Jose to Phoenix for the holidays and it reminded me of why I dislike FWD platforms. Stab the gas, weight goes to the rear, front tires spin, car goes nowhere. Do the same while turning, situation is worse. Then there's that wonderful torque steer these FWD cars all seem to exhibit...does this happen in the SRT-4? How much would it cost to put an SRT-4 in the mid-11's on pump gas, reliably? Just curious. I'm sure they handle better than a Sy/Ty, no argument there, he he.
