Re: Rear Bumper Support brackets

The price on these brackets in either 304 stainless steel or 5052 aluminum, will be $80 shipped for a pair.

They will be press brake bent and tack welded (the stock brackets are only tack welded also).

So, who wants some?

see post 1 for listing

Possible to have them fully tigged?
yea, for another $10/set. I don't have a tig, so i'm having to pay someone to tack/tig these unfortunately.

ok Ill do it myself then I might want aluminum let me think
ok thats fine. i didn't do an official weigh in, but its def a 2+lb weight savings per bracket. I personally wouldn't bother w/ stainless since you'll never see the thing..even w/ mirrors under the truck. Plus its tough to tell the difference if you're gonna polish it anyway.

Yes, i'll accept paypal for these. Let me get them in stock before people start paying me though...i don't want to have a big lag in shipment from payment.

Re: Rear Bumper Support brackets

here is a question for everyone interested in these....rather than an overlapping bolt holes like the stock pieces, would anyone be opposed to just a welded corner seam there instead? It would mean it'd be even lighter, and just as strong. Plus a bending jig would be easier to setup for the bender guy.

works for me, and just curios is that his official title "bender guy"
 no...dunno who exactly will be doing the bending yet. Either the shop w/ the waterjet, or a sheetmetal place. So i just used the universal 'bender guy'.

its really not too big of a deal to do a stainless set.
