That was used in the past, but other individuals who don't participate much anymore on syty.net control/own it. The nats committe wanted full control of the web domain.:tup:

SyTyNationals.com is owned by a previous Nats Committee member. The domain was generally only active while registration was open and until just after the event ended. SyTyNats.com was purchased last year as a redirect URL and to shorten things a bit. Due to the current SyTyNationals.com owner being extremely busy, it was easiest for the current committee to go ahead and build the site around the new domain.

At some point, SyTyNationals.com should become a redirect to SyTyNats.com so they both point to the same place.

Mostly just a logistics thing. When the website is up and fully functional, both url's will point to the same site. :tup:

We know who owns it, and he'll probably renew. It just needs to be pointed to the new web host is all. It's not a big deal, and www.SyTyNats.com works just fine :tup:
