Well can I do it! should I do it!! looks to me like the EZ way out!

Any one want a one day restoration on there project Syclone!!! I may be willing to sell all my body panels rust free mint! body cladding is perfect!! perfect front clip doors. tailgate. bed .interior my dealer told me as long as I could drive it to his lot he would give me $4500 cash for clunckers??? I would need cash up front and your old junk parts installed back on my truck!! since I have to have my vin number on my truck the cab has to stay !!!


I am in the need for a 4x4 tow vehical was really lookin for a cheap used one but I am looking at new now!!

lol, is this a joke?! I thought they were not doing the cash for junkers thing anymore. Speaking of which, what are the rules. Does it have to be traded in on a brand new car? Or can it be a used newer vehicle?

I thought the $4500 voucher only applied if you were increasing gas mileage? A 4X4 tow rig isn't exactly fuel efficient.

Yeah. You can't be serious?

You take your truck to them, they run the silicate solution through the motor and destroy it right there. If you seriously only want $4500 for it, why not sell it outright and have Cash-in-hand instead of a hokey government rebate that won't get you much towards a new vehicle?

Dealers make more money on Trucks/SUV's, so you really aren't going to save that much.

Shoot, if you're serious, I'll do everything I can to come up with $4500 for your truck right now.

Edit: Cash for clunkers only works on New vehicles.

He will get the 4500 on trade + the cash from all the parts he takes off for SyTy guys/girls. I think that is what he wants to do. The dealer said as long as he can drive it to the dealership they will give him 4500...personally I still would never do that to a SyTy inless it was totallt unable to restore it.

DIAF!!!

He is wanting to sell all his good, rust free parts to make 2-4K cash and then get 4500 on top of that. By absolutely destroying one of our pride and joys.

If its that nice, its worth that much right now. And 1 billion $$ only lasted 6 days. So the 2bill they added, might last another 12-20 days. By the time you scraped your truck out, the program would be over again. And you would be left with a huge turd.

But this is kind of a turd thing to do so, GO FOR IT

And where did that 2 BILLION come from? You and me. They're touting this as a "success" but it's nothing more than redistribution of public money. It does not create wealth or help the economy one bit...but then, if it did, it wouldn't be a leftist plan.

X2. I'm sure you could sell it to a board member here for more than the 4500 the gov't would screw you for. You could still come out ahead by getting a used truck instead of being forced to buy new (which won't happen with the fuel economy ratings on the trucks you want). Lose-lose IMO :chair:

You make no sense. You said you are low man on the totem pole at your job and next layoff you are gone. You are trying to sell it to keep your other toys.. now you want to do the cash for clunkers on an 07 Silverado tha tused. Sorry it it is for New Vehicles only and it has to get better mileage than your Syclone. Not sure a tow vehicle would apply....

Any way you are an idiot if you take you nice Rare Sy and have it crushed for a mere 4500 bucks. Someone find this guy and beat some sense into him.

A it has to be brand new. Insured for a year. and it is 3500-4500 if the gas mileage is more that 5 mpg on trucks.

Also you dealer and yourself are fools becuase the extra money has not been approved and if it is not approved then you get charged back the money

then the engien has to be siezed and the cab/frame with vin number has to be crushed.


Anyone who buys parts from this dip shit is just as much of an ass hole
