Re: LS2 1500hp+ Syclone build

 for a cool project, especially the rear suspension looks so nice.

wish i had the resources to get mine free of rust, too.

what's the planned finishing date, when & where will you hit the track/road?

Well, planned finishing date was last year :)

But I have a 15 hrs job + family.
So time to work on it is rare.
And I want to do everything 100%.

Also, nearly every parts sending I get from the USA has wrong parts in it, so it takes forever to get all the (correct) parts together.
That´s because nearly everything will be new on the car
and there are a lot of special parts.

Every now and again, someone comes and blows a tonne of cash on these trucks and makes a work of art.

Beautiful!

Just don't sell it when you're done! :D

Sweet build! I want to 4 link my Ty. Tryin to find the best way to go about it though without having to take the body off the frame.

Re: LS2 1500hp+ Syclone build

cool build. what oil pan is this?

It´s a modified moroso oil pan.

The oil pan has 2 functions....1 is to hold the oil, the other is to control the oil.
The second is done through baffling in the pan plus a windage tray of some sort.

The custom pans that we can get for our LSX conversions don´t have either.
Also, the materials are very thin.

That´s why we finally decided to get a moroso oil pan and modify it to fit.

great build.

you narrowed the rear frame rails. are you put tubs in the bed and go with a wider rim and tire combo?

Yes, I tubbed it.

I´m thinking about running a 13,X" wide tire rear.
But not sure, yet.

Testfitting the engine/tranny/tc to the frame:

Michael%2028.05.11%20013.JPG

That's the best way to do it. When I put mine in, I had the engine tranny in and out a half dozen times and everything was either in the way or banging on the firewall. Made things so much easier to do with no body there. Nice build.Everything is so damn clean.
