What is this wire for? (pic)

The grey wire in the wiring harness in the pic below hard to see but its the grey one. Im tryin to tie up loose ends on this truck and this wire isnt comected to anything and have no clue if its important or what?? :squint:

That gray wire with black connector that you have circled is to power the fuel pump for testing. Good for setting fuel pressure or draining the tank.
It looks like someone hotwired the fuel pump.

So basicly your sayin it is not hooked up unless for testing or tune?

YES


I did you mine to supply the signal for my wideband realy, that way the WB02 was on when the fuel pump was on.

Ah, ok I see now, in the pic with the innovate wideband box.
That makes sense now if the other end of that wire really goes to the wideband controller. Kinda hard to tell. Looks like it might go to the blower motor resistor pack.

well ever since i ran that 0-100 over the weekend my truck is missing bad and im not figurein it out yet why but i came across that wire and didnt know what it was and couldnt find the male end to the conector on it so i asked the board. Anybody know what could have caused my problem all opinions please.

checked all cylinders for spark and passed my vac lines passed the starting fluid test and you can smell gas fumes standing infront of the motor when its running? No change in fuel pressure or smoke out the tail???
