How do you drain all the bad gas out of a 1993 Typhoon after it has been sitting for three years? Asking for a friend.

Never done this, but I think it would work:

Disconnect the fuel line from the inlet side of the fuel filter. Push a length of 3/8 hose (clear vinyl with no reinforcement braid would be easiest to push on) over the end. Put it in a container. Use the fuel pump test connector on the firewall to energize the pump. If the pump still runs after 3 years (it probably will) it will pump almost all of the fuel out of the tank. Adding 5+ gallons of fresh will dilute any remaining 'bad' gas.

Thank you, thank you! This was exactly the advice, and knowledge I needed. I usually drive my truck every 6 months for three months like clock work. Every summer for sure! I skipped a year but the truck has a full tank. I am thinking (assuming the fuel pump works), I will only run the pump for about 30 secs and then let cool for a few minutes, would that help? Again, thanks!

Not necessary. The pump runs continuously when the engine is running down the highway and doesn't 'overheat', why would it overheat by pumping fuel at less pressure into a jug? If anything, the battery may go weak pumping out a full tank. Its gonna' take awhile.

The gas is probably ok for use. I 'change' the gas in my 85 Corvette every other October. I put the old gas in my Daily Driver. The POS DD doesn't seem to care. So when you go to do this, be sure your DD is low on gas so you have somewhere to put the gas from the Ty.
