Congradualtions Matt. As usual, it was a blast to hang out with you guys and get the action on video. Sorry I left early. I'll try to get you these videos ina timely manner. Oh, buy the way, my trusty calculator tells me that 5.7843 pass would have been a 9.029 in the quarter mile. Can you says 8's are just a slight tune adjustment away.

Later,

Oh thats an incredibly run, how on earth did you mannage to get that mutch power to the pawement?? I mean how do you heat your slicks?

And that cind of inprovment in lovering et... I do have to ask if nitroz is involved? as did Robert..

We have been talkin about his truck should be able to run in 9,5 et and with noz a couples of ten´s lower maybee hit a 8 pass...

yhe year is over for us in sweden now, and our plans lies in prepping for next season starting in may if lucky..

And Robert have somting els on his mind noverdays :D hope He vill tell U soon :D

Re: HOOVER timeslips

thaks guys! we have struggled with gettin the truck to go straight for the past little bit but dad seemed to figure out some thing with the help of mike callahan and allen dudley dealing with the front end. another problem was the boost was coming in too strong at the beginning of the run and caused the truck to haze the tires. got that fixed but there still seemed to be some "driving" involved to get it down the track.

one change we made, really by accident, was runin the truck through a lil water in the water box b4 the burnout. so we got to turn the tires over a few times, compared to our normal burnout or "dry hop." maybe got a lil heat in the tires? allen changed a few things on our laptop b4 2 of the runs and the truck seemed to respond a lot better out of the gate. the truck is all trial n error.

no nitrous is involved, it isnt needed! we simply turn up the boost if we need more HP. the only bottle in the truck is our CO2 bottle which controls the wastegates through or multistage boost control. if you have a good build like we do and enough fuel in the cylinder all you do is turn the boost up. no need for the extra wires n hoses and weight of a nitrous system. plus its just another factor to throw in the equation in tuning.

heres the pic of the bottle im talking about:

yea its a lot easier to get the truck up on the line and hold it bc of the rpm limiter we had installed. the RTs had to be improved!

i think the boost maxed out at about 22 lbs? i'll have to check the data log to be sure though. i think we could go 25 lbs no problem but im not sure we will do that though since we had so much trouble gettin er to go straight at 20 lbs. ya never know though?

just a suggestion but you might want to run it up with as much boost as you can. :)

This is why all safety equipment is needed when the speed is going up..

OMG! that unbelieveable! the NHRA and IHRA have very good safety regulations. thats probably why they both lived to see another day!
