Re: George Blake

Well.... Update on my PG George Blake 4L80e...

He got me... :fist:

But unlike others my trans looks pretty good on the inside.. Except for not having a billet clutch hub or billet intermediate shaft..

I was at the trans shop when they yanked it appart... Off came the TC and there was a billet input shaft sticking out... Good... Trans came apart and no other billet parts... Not so good..

Geoge's special 2nd gear cluth pack was just thinner steels with one additional clutch... Nothing special as far as the trans shop is telling me... Just standard Hi-Po stuff..

Looks as it has some of the basic upgrades, transgo HD2 installed, and quality clutches and bands..

The true story will be told when they go and throw it back together and they measure all of the clearances and go through the pump..

After speaking with the trans builder he recomends that we get a billet cluth hub in the trans as the stock one does not like more than 650-700 ft. lbs. He also stated that I have no need to get a billet intermediate shaft put in the trans as he has seen that the stock one is good for 1000+ ft. lbs.

So in total George got me for; $500 billet intermediate shaft, $200 billet clutch hub, another $200 billet clutch hub, and $650 worth of labor.

Gotta love dirt bags... Too bad he doesn't live closer... I would love to pay him some special attention..

What comes around, goes around...

See ya...

this worries me about mine, ill post my findings when i open mine

btw my child has DS.....Can you all sent me money?
Yeah no shit, I'm totally not trying to be cold hearted here, but he isn't the only family on earth dealing with disabilities of some sort, child, family member, whatever.

I can see (to a certain degree) making people on this forum aware of your situation, maybe talk to your local SyTy'ers about it, fine, but to solicit money while being a ****ing scam artist, well I hate to say it like this, but I guess karma works in strange ways

I have learned things in life some the hard way. Blake got me to some degree also, glad I kept it minimal.

Honest and people you can trust, don't go around telling people how honest and trust worthy they are and how much you should trust them.

I wonder how ppl that rip ppl off live with their selves.

If you **** over the wrong person there can and will be hell to pay, eventually.

I couldn't look in the mirror if I was a scumbag.

Not to stir the pot more, but when I met him in person he was talking shit about you. I thought to myself then that this doesn't seem right, he had no idea you and I had hung out a couple times prior. He kept telling me how all his stuff was taking so long because Jeff wasn't getting him the parts he needed for the install kits, blah blah blah. At the time, I told him "if" that's even remotely true, I'm sure there's a very good reason for it.

Amazing how this shit can still come around all these years later.

No surprise to me, 2 sides to every story. Not that I am perfect and have had my faults no doubt, but I am still here, no bounties are on my head in syty land, and if any issue regarding me has ever come about I have always tried to resolve it.

I have a few stories of my own in regards to issues regarding him. Not sure talking about them in detail does anybody any good, fact is he is gone, more than 1 person has shown proof of being scammed, and guess what I am still here, show up to syty events and don't worry about someone stabbing me in the back because I ripped them off.

Other syty vendors wouldn't show up at a syty event without a full body guard services with them.

Sage advice.

I've got one about not trusting people who don't have old friends also.

That statement is kind of grey. The only old friend I have any more is Jeff Scott (TwinTurboV8Ty) and mayebe a couple of sytyers I would consider close aquaintences/friends. All my other friends have screwed me over at some point so they are longer my friends.

But your wife always blames me for your bank account being empty.

Re: George Blake

Running 18* Bowtie heads...

George built a 4l80e trans for me...had RPM redo it as it was never right. He also convinced me to go with the new style TCI controller (which I bought from him) and told me he had a home for my brand new older style TCI one. He had the TCI controller in his possession and said he would pay me as soon as he finished the other guys build and got paid for it. Never saw the controller or the cash as he disappear about the same time. Lost about what...$450-500.

Sounds familiar. I supposedly got the last 4l80e that george said he had parts for and upsold me some billet stuff for a discount so he could get rid of it. Took a long time to get it but he also sold me an older style TCI controller he said he still had to save me money instead of the newer style.
You have a serial number on a receipt or anything John? This might be your controller.
