Re: George Blake

George like many others that come and go on here thought his shit didn't stink. Everyone held their noses but sooner or later the taste of the smell made them let go and everyone realized what a true douche bag he was.

Although I swore I would change my attitude around here since it isn't worth the drama, that guy was one of the ones that no one could see through. Big reason I stayed away from him in the first place.

I wont lie, I fell into his BS too. He had knowledge in an area that many lack, so most took what he said at face value.

Re: George Blake

The guy who looked at my Syclone for me was a Corvette owner (long distance purchase). He went twice to look at it and he was super thorough. I tried to pay him, buy him lunch, he wouldn't take my money. A few years later he screw over more than a dozen people to the tune of $20k. (Selling corvette rims). He later apologized and said he didn't intend to screw everyone over. he though he could essential shift some money around for a while delivery the rims. He was having a financial crisis and did what had to do for his family.

Re: George Blake

Aonther ? About you ty if you don't mind, how does you turbos spool just rolling into it on the road it there a lot of lag, and what are you spining it too?

Thanks

My twin turbo spools quickly with very little lag. I purposely undersized the exhaust housing to spool quicker on the street as that is where I drive it most. I sacrifice some power on the big end at the track with the smaller housings, but I don't go to the track much and would rather have the quick spool up on the street.

My AWD spools rather quickly also. I is partially because it has a dual BB turbo with a billet wheel.

As far as spooling, it is critical a correct cam and convertor stall is used for the application. The setup will be different if one is looking for all out 1/4 mile racing vs a fun street application.

Every GB trans I have been involved with, eventually had to be redone. Only the very 1st I would say was good, other 2 were never right.

His new address isn't in his name, guessing he might be renting.

Re: George Blake

I have a full billet build PG 4L80e at a local performance trans shop getting the 32 spline output shaft put back in and going through the trans to make sure it is correct...

How many people wanna bet there is no billet input shaft, billet intermediate shaft or billet clutch hub???

I will be there during the tear down to see what comes out myself..

And Like John... George told me... "Don't let anyone open it up, if you have any problems send it back to me".. I wonder why

Stay tuned...

I edited it because quite frankly,I wouldn't want my shit posted for anybody to see.

Would you?

I gotta draw the line somewhere.

I know, I was just giving you shit, I figured you were told too.

It's hard getting used to this new Jimmy who does things before he gets yelled at. ;)

Re: George Blake

Well.... Update on my PG George Blake 4L80e...

He got me... :fist:

But unlike others my trans looks pretty good on the inside.. Except for not having a billet clutch hub or billet intermediate shaft..

I was at the trans shop when they yanked it appart... Off came the TC and there was a billet input shaft sticking out... Good... Trans came apart and no other billet parts... Not so good..

Geoge's special 2nd gear cluth pack was just thinner steels with one additional clutch... Nothing special as far as the trans shop is telling me... Just standard Hi-Po stuff..

Looks as it has some of the basic upgrades, transgo HD2 installed, and quality clutches and bands..

The true story will be told when they go and throw it back together and they measure all of the clearances and go through the pump..

After speaking with the trans builder he recomends that we get a billet cluth hub in the trans as the stock one does not like more than 650-700 ft. lbs. He also stated that I have no need to get a billet intermediate shaft put in the trans as he has seen that the stock one is good for 1000+ ft. lbs.

So in total George got me for; $500 billet intermediate shaft, $200 billet clutch hub, another $200 billet clutch hub, and $650 worth of labor.

Gotta love dirt bags... Too bad he doesn't live closer... I would love to pay him some special attention..

What comes around, goes around...

See ya...

Not surprised. Not to dig up old dirt but the old story of a propshaft being stolen at Homecoming always threw up red flags on the same level.

The truth is finally coming out with hard info to back it up.

Re: George Blake

yeah anytime a guy does trans work and says "if you have problem don't remove the pan/converter/ect just sent it all back to me- theres usualy something up

Ive done transmissions for years and yes its annoying when someone pulls a transmission partially apart and sends it to you to figure out the problem and fix- but I read so many threads where he blamed every transmission failure on the installer. Im sorry but these are pretty straight forward to install, the TV cable is easy to adjust

it always seemed like he was hiding something- then there was the stolen shaft thing ontop of it. ive been part of car groups for 15 years and ive never heard of something like that mess happening- to make matters worse he went off about how terrible people in this world are because stealing from him is stealing from his handicapt son- but he stole from a lot of people on this board.

its a damn shame

Re: George Blake

Stolen propshaft?

he claimed a guy on a group buy came to home coming- picked up the shaft he paid for then called him the next day and said it wasn't him and someone impersonated him so he was out the money. so a bunch of people chipped in money to help him recoup the money for the "stolen shaft" then he said he couldn't comment on it anymore for legal reasons
