Re: Everyone keep ERUE in your thoughts

i have the best nursing staff you can imagine this weekend!!! my wife kicks ass, and buena girl (from turbotime) has been here helping out, and lisa (turbogirl from myclone) has been here helping/hanging out. we have been catching up, and playing a little guitar hero when i have the energy. did anyone know lisa can sing? a coyboy hat, a few drinks, and a bonjovi song and its ON!

i got a sponge bath, got my hair washed. fresh clothes and got shaved. man thats a good feeling when you havnt been cleaned in a week.

goals for tomorrow include getting up and down and mabe trying out the walker....assuming i can manage the pain.

Good to hear you are at home! I bet it is hard to manage pain with all you've been through. Chill in the A/C & enjoy having folks wait on you :) I guess my boys (Korey & Pat) will be back from the Nats tomorrow evening.

i dont know if its always been this way but hospital care is totally uncceptable. if i could figure out who to complain to id file a complaint in a heartbeat.

You would need to talk with the patient advocate at the hospital. They take these matters hardcore because it makes the hospital look bad. Get well soon, because it's the pitts being down for any lenght of time.

Complain to Obama, he's going to make it all better ya' know,lol.....But seriously, glad to hear your on the road to recovery. That accident could have been much worse. Scary thing.

Hospital care has been shitty for a long time. Between my dad, my wife's mom, and my wife being in the hospital when our daughter was born I've probably spent 100 days in the hospital visiting people.

E, it's good to hear you're ok. Sucks that you have to buy 2 new cars.

Yeah E glad to see you are home.
You will recover so much faster where you are comfortable.

Awesome that all the ladies are rallying around you, although you never had much of a problem getting their attention. ;)

Got any pics of the subie?
I thought you said the wife got sideswiped by the same driver.

She looks like she's pleading for a bigger hammer, before she gets started on the bodywork?

Glad you're "ok" E.

WOW E. That is some pretty serious stuff man!! I hope you have a speedy recovery!!

A friend of mine cut off his thumb and with the extension surgerys and pins and plates it took him a year to get back to work. He was a great mech before........I think this made him a better mech when he went back to work. Can't wait to see what you can do!!!!!!!

Get well soon brother!!!!

Re: Everyone keep ERUE in your thoughts

just got the temp cast off from the last surgery. still swolen pretty bad but im moving around a little bit and im starting to hobble on crutches some. hope this doesnt gross anyone out. the leg and foot are so deformed they dont look like mine. im hoping most of that goes away after the swelling goes down. should be starting PT this week to regain some of my movement. still a LONG ways to go to get back to normal.

Re: Everyone keep ERUE in your thoughts

e,

Won't bore you more details of mine, said enough already. Just be vigilant, proactive with your care, and follow orders. This takes time, time, an more time. Try not to let it get to ya. Sometime I wish we could wrench on our bodies the way wrench wrench on our trucks, then again... :rotf:
