Re: Code 59 Partially Open.

Some more pm's sent.

Please watch one you register, and one of us approves you an email will be sent to you to confirm things. 1 person found the email in spam for some reason, if you don't respond to that email you won't be able to get in.

Also, keep us updated on progress. A hey I got the chip but havn't ran it helps a lot more than nothing being posted on the 59 board.

If you put a chip in and it runs good, let us know.

Eventually I am hoping some of the early testers will be available to answer some questions as more people are added. Someone may even be so nice to offer to document and provide some good FAQ's once they learn a bit more. It would take some of the load off the team so we can work on some of the new features we have planned. What is being released now is just a start to what can be added.

Re: Code 59 Partially Open.

I checked the code59 forum yesterday, and was surprised that I didnt notice any new posts, from new users. I guess it took me some time to implement it too though.

I am ready to help in any way I can, and hope to learn alot from our new tuners too.

Ive been on there everyday all day since i was approved but was afraid to ask any questons. But I did post up this morning. Ill be posting some progress hopefully in a day or two. I also wich I wouldve had all the stuff together when they were looking for testers casue I wouldve been able to get good altitude BINS made up.

Re: Code 59 Partially Open.

Will $59 utilize the shift logic settings in $58 ?

I know SY/TYs don’t utilize the shift logic in $58 but I for one am messing with it
If anything, for those of us running manuals, a smart shift light that is programmed to your combo.

My other pet project is to use it to switch the boost control solenoid off and on as
a rpm/gear/tps specific boost control. By creating spot where the light is off
and not energizing the solenoid the system is essentially running the waste gate spring rating.

In clearer terms
full boost all the time @ 50%or more tps (light on) except from 2500 to 3500 in second and third gears (light off).

It could also be used to turn on… or …
ok i will stop now lol

Why do you want $59: Have had my Typhoon for nearly 5 years now and don't plan on ever selling it or leaving the sy/ty community. I am very interested in learning how to tune. I am very tech savvy person and love to learn more

It'll work the same way the stock code does.

Aside from what you describe, the boost logic can do different boost at different MPH/RPM.

Name: Jory Tolliver
Truck, mods: Sy#1983 - PTE60, 3" exhaust, 9/11 3K stall, tranny cooler, HD prop, AFPR, Walbro 255,160 deg stat, Johnson IC pump, soft lines, no egr, no abs, batt. in bed(3 bar map, 75# injectors)
Tuning equipment you have: Laptop, DIY ALDL cable, TPRT, DM, (Ostrich, G1, LC-1)
Why do you want $59: Because SBNova said I do. Really though, looking for the path of least resistance to implement new mods (in parenthesis above). Wouldn't mind doing it in $58, but might as well try to get ahead of the curve. No problems sharing my experiences (hopefully not as a tale of "what not to do").

Rob Trivilino

Syclone, mostly stock,3 bar map, currently installing, 3" dp-catback exhaust, custom turbo, alky injection. I do have 75lb injectors but those won't go in till a later date.
Ostrich, g1, datamaster, will be getting tuner pro RT, lc-1 wbo2, laptop
Reason I want $59: Since my truck won't be running for at least a month, I am starting to read up on tuning, I might as well start with $59 instead of the stock tune because of the extra benefits that come with code $59.

Re: Code 59 Partially Open.

Ok, I am going to go ahead and give out the website address to register but you MUST be approved to access anything. So post up your truck, mods, tuning equipment and user name you used to register.

We will then decide in what order to let people in. So far with those playing things are going mostly ok. Few learning curve, operator error stuff.

So again list your truck, name, tuning equipment, and why you want code 59 and the user name you used to register.

www.code59.org

Another note I have been asked, if you waiting for code59 to learn to tune, your missing the boat. You will learn a lot using the old 58 stuff and understand 59 that much more than someone that just starts with 59. In fact 59 can be a bit more time consuming in ways and confusing if you didn't know what 58 was like and why things were changed.

Mike Bendo
Truck: Car: 85 Camaro, Sy/Ty conversion (749 re-pinned). 383 stroker, 42lb injectors, aluminum heads, cam, headers etc, etc. Using a Vortech SQ approx 12-15lb boost. T56-6speed.
Tuning equipment: TunerPro, Moates burner, laptop, LC-1, 3-bar.
I'm already using the $58 code with good success. Looking for that little extra that I think the $59 code will provide. Also the Sy/Ty site has, I feel, alot better forums and information on this type of application. Looking to turn up the boost this year and need to control things better. (may be meth?)
