Truck: 4-bolt. Eagles, TRW's, Vortech's, 412 cam, 75#'s, ATR Double Pumper, -8 feed/-6 return, Accufab AFPR, T67 TO4E/T3.82, 1.6 rockers, 3 Bar, Razor Alky, Level 10 TH700R4, 3300 stall, Stock IC Lightning pump, stock DP, ATR cat-back.
Tuning Equipment: Datamaster, TunerPro RT, Tech Edge WB v1.5, G1, Needhams EMP-10, laptop.
Reason for Wanting $59: I've been eating up everything I can find on $58. Truck has gone 11.7's with a PT74, A/A and Nolan's magic and still had more in it. Now I've went back to the stock IC and a T67. Needs to be re-tuned and this is a great opportunity to learn how to do it especially with 75's.

Truck: Ty #1 - My daily driver Ty. Bone stock engine, the usual external bolt on's, fuel pump, spec.II boost control, no cat, cold air etc. with lots of reliability mods. Maybe alky and or larger injectors if required?

Ty #2 (in process) - Bowtie block, 0.30 over, custom grind Comp cam, Brodix heads ?, fabbed intake, Moldex crank, J&E's, Oliver rods, Razor's Alky, 84#ers?, 3 bar map, Pt74 turbo, coil overs & more to come!

92' GMC 1500 4.3L. The parts runner. Roots blown with heavy ported L-35's, 422 cam, 1.6 rockers, 700R4 with 2800 stall (too much). Currently maxed out on 10 psi with the Holley "high flow" T.B.I., custom tuned chip (well kinda). Currently getting freshen'd up and wanting to go port F.I.!

Looking for a Sy also!

Tuning equipment: Tunerpro, Ostrich, Autoprom, G1, NVRAM board, LM1 WB02, several laptops and a carputer.

Reason for wanting $59: Getting my "minty" stocker Ty to "Be all it can be", too get a head start and knowledge on the "big build" for Ty #2, do the port F.I. swap for 1500. Also to get some info out / share the wealth for the guys who can't find what they need to fix their problems. I'm working with $58 now but I already see it's limitations compared to $59. Did I mention to go fast but have turn key street manors?

Mmmm... is it just me and that I overlooked it or is there not a "visitor" or open view option on the $59 web site like here on syty.net and others? I can't just "browse" the site and see what's up without having to log in (of course, not having a password)? I clicked the "Do I have to register?" but got nada.

Three posts before your reply, in this thread. I didn't on the site cause I thought we were supposed to do it here? Want me to do it there also?

Truck, mods
Currently a pile of parts laying around waiting to be put together. Will eventually be a SBC 350 with a forged low compression bottom end, vortec heads, ramjet intake, 50 lb injectors, and a big turbo all controlled by a 749.

Tuning equipment you have
Spare 749, Moates Autoprom & G3, lots of chips, old hypercrap carrier, etc.

Why do you want $59
I'd like to learn as much as I can about it before I actually have the motor built and start tuning. If I don't force myself to learn about it beforehand I will inevitably grenade the engine. I did play around with $58 back when I had my Ty so I have a bit of an idea what I am doing. I've also used the autoprom to tune a TBI 350 running a 747 ECM..

Thanks,
-Matt

60-1 garret turbo, 3200 stall, 75lb p&h injectors, pte p-trim exhaust housing and 3" all the way back, similar to a 415 cam, 3bar map sesor, plx m-300 wideband, ATR double pumper.

Laptop, Ostrich, g1, tunerpro, datamaster with cable, 10.4" touchscreen monitor in dash

The reason I want Code $59 is that after 3 years the truck looks like it may be back on the road very soon. Just trying to remember how to reassable this thing after 3 years and I am unsure how close the custom chip I have will be. Plus the tuning ability with code 59 sounds perfect for my build and I would love to share anything I learn with the group. Maybe even some high altitude tuning experiece here in Denver!

I registered on Code59.org with the same username.

Truck / Mods: Sy / stock motor, PTE-63, RPM A2A, 50#ers, 3bar MAP, afpr, Greddy Profec EBC (still need to install a higher stall TC)

Tuning Equip: Tunerpro RT, DM, Ostrich, Innovate LC-1/LM-1

Why Code $59: Have a VERY conservative tune right now, ready to optimize to get the most out of the Sy w/o blowing it up. Note: I tried registering on the code59 forum a while back, please let me know if I should re-register (same screenname). Thanks!

Re: Code 59 Partially Open.

Jeff,
Any chance I can get in on this? I?ve learned a bit about tuning while attempting the MegaSquirt install on my truck. It ran great except for a crazy TPS voltage spike issue. Unfortunately, the guy that was helping me with the Squirt moved to California and I am beginning to lose interest. This seems like a much more viable alternative to MegaSquirt anyway. I already have a decent running truck (save for some false knock) and much of the equipment. Here?s the info you asked for:

Name: Justin Lawrence
Truck, mods: 70k mile Syclone, 3? stainless exhaust (turbine flange to tailpipe) with electric cutout and sans cat, Racetronix Walbro 255, LM-1 wideband, Stewart Warner AFR, boost, trans temp gauges, 3-bar MAP (not yet installed), hardwired Johnson IC pump, AFPR
Tuning equipment you have: Laptop, Datamaster cable/software, LC-1 wideband (in addition to the LM-1)
Why do you want $59: The same reasons I wanted MegaSquirt; the ability to tune my own truck, run higher boost, learn more about tuning in general and hopefully contribute a solid tune for a nearly stock truck.

I'll gladly buy anything else I need (EPROM chips, burner, software, etc).

Thanks,

Re: Code 59 Partially Open.

Looking forward to serious progress this year...
  • '91 Syclone, 50#, 3", L35's, 3bar
  • Jon Rust
  • Ostrich, TunerProRT, PLX WB
  • After tinkering with $58 for awhile I'd like to start off with new Code59 for the new mods that include the 3"DP and WB. Currently a low 13 truck that should be deep in 12's. Would love to see an 11.xx this year and 59 may help make it possible.

Thanks for making this possible and having support at our fingertips.

We are slowly letting people in more and more. We even got our first donation (donations will be used for further development tools, etc. not anybodies pocket)

If you don't post your user name you registered on code59 site, or use the same user name I can't approve you.
