Re: Bubba's hacked up ****ery on some poor guys Typhoon
Posted this morning on Facebook. Apparently we are all just to ignorant to fully understand Bubba's level of genius.
Bubbas East Coast Rods & Customs Mark, she is running. There was so much electrical damage to her because of the previous owners work that Bubba is going to finish a couple of other items. Everyone has attacked Bubba, unjustifiably so, for setting the truck up the way it is but they obviously failed to read the story in it's entirety. The owner was on an very limited budget with her because so much had been invested previously and was ready to dump the truck. Bubba stepped in and fixed the problem and now she runs fantastic but to the anointed few who think they know everything, it was the wrong thing and the easy thing to do and dragged Bubba through the mud. Totally uncool to have done and I won't tolerate that kind of negativity here! Turbocharged applications with carburetors have been around a LONG time and fortunately Bubba possesses enough knowledge to know how to set up a motor correctly and do so without EFI. Sadly, those who only understand EFI and do not possess the same knowledge as Bubba are the very same ones acting so childish and cruel and should be ashamed of their critical behavior. When the electrical meltdown happened on the Typhoon it also took out the electrical to the factory installed gauges so the previous owner moved them to the A pillar. Bubba has corrected the electrical issues there as well and in the process of removing the gauges from the A pillar so the OEM gauges function as they should. Bubba wanted the Typhoon to stay as close to stock as it could remain as he is well aware of the rareness and value of theses special little trucks. There may well come a time when we move her all back over to the EFI set up once the owner enjoys her for a bit and has the confidence that she is worth investing more in but for right now he just wants to drive her. I am going to post up video of her running and will also update this posting with pix of the factory gauges working once again. Thank you Mark for showing an interest in seeing her run. I promise I will get you some video up.
