i can't beleive it guys. i finally got my syclone back from McCoy, and it was well worth the wait. Heck, i took it out last night at 16 psi (550hp) and the thing runs like a screaming bitch. i can't imagine how much faster this thing will be at 25 psi, with advanced timing and race fuel....the only thing i can say is that this thing is simply scary fast!!! thanks Jerry, Randy, and the rest of the McCoy staff!!!!!!

They are L35s. They are some heads that were in the shop by McCoy's, no clue on the status of them.

Brian is this the truck you were telling Tony about the other night? Something similar to my buildup in the Great White North? I hope not cause I wanted to run that one at the Nats and this truck doesn't qualify for the modified class.

Also, I thought McCoy's super motor plus came with their stage III Vortecs?

Probably the one.

It does have Vortecs, the pics are of other heads that were around McCoy's shop.

Which truck doesn't qualify for modified? What's the difference between yours and his?

From the 2001 Nats website:

MODIFIED - Must be AWD , and stock block Must be stock crank. Single turbo. Larger turbo , air/air intercoolers , Nitrous , stand- alone fuel management, Big valve heads, Headers , Transmission swaps as long as it is still AWD are all OK.

From McCoy's site:

Super Motor Plus
All the above except billet Crank and a set of our Just Released Stage 3 Heads...Can You Say Monster Street Motor? !!!!!

There are alot of other differences too. Some minor some not. But as I told Tony last night anything properly built up around a 63 (his turbo) or bigger turbo is a scary ride regardless. I look forward to hearing tales of this new monster on the block while mine is being built.

I'm almost positive that it is a stock crank. McCoy's builds are always flexible with options that way. I could be wrong... but I recall talking the build over with Jerry many times.

Truck wasn't dyno tuned, and hasn't made any track runs, so the actual performance is still up in the air.

so you guys didn't do any low boost power brakes to check out the tune?

I thought to make 750hp you needed to leave 3 black stripes about 150ft long..

Well, the only difference engine-wise between the super motor and the super motor plus is the billet crank so... :???:

Kind of a moot point anyways. It doesn't look good for me to get my Syclone down to the Nats this year anyways since no one has any clue what's going on with it.

I notice there are getting to be a few trucks with this general build out an about now (Peter, ghost, me). I'm having mine broken in on an engine dyno and then tuned on a chassis dyno. I'll post some concrete numbers probably early Summer. Just thought I'd ask cause the curiosity is killing me.

thats Jerry's sons truck. I believe they put a sy motor in it, and it runs pretty well. I thought i remember hearing low 12s, and it was relatively stock.

Cascading Inspiration
Jerry's been very interested in developing a turbo kit for the xtreeme's/s-10s.

I suspect some ideas will be taken from knowlege on our trucks, and hopefully we can get some better tech passed on to us.

still thinking about....DIS
