Re: 3" downpipe GP!

Hi,

Will you be making any more of the 3" downpipes? If so, I would be interested in one with flange and an extra O2 sensor bung.

thanks,

Re: 3" downpipe GP!

It isn't looking like I will be making any more Downpipes for a while as it isn't worth doing if there isn't enough people to do it with.

Hopefully the first few downpipes will be finished in the next few days. I will keep every one posted.

Re: 3" downpipe GP!

It isn't mandrel bend. But upon comparison with the stock pipe, even the bends in the new 3" pipe were much larger than even the straight parts in the stock pipe.

JS Manufacturing said:
The exact opposite actually happens. You will see when wastegate opens it starts dumping too much boost. Is actually very good thing.

I have a local truck with this design dp, running low 12's on stock turbo. I had to go into the initial WG duty cycle table in chips and max them at 100%, meaning remain closed initially.

I have the MPH hack in there also BTW.

What ends up happening is WG stays shut until boost rises up, then it just slightly opens when it reaches desired boost. Once it opens just a tad, control is no problem running full open dump.

I know I mentioned this before but we picked up 6mph in quarter just with this downpipe.

JS can you tell me if the Ultimate Chip wil take care of this or do I need a chip that custom made? do you do this?

You will probably need to adjust the rod some. But overall it will be fine, just way better control.

Re: 3" downpipe GP!

I talked with him yesterday and he is working on them as we speak. Sorry about the delay but he has had some hangups at his shop which have prevented him getting to them until this week. It seems nothing goes as quickly as you want them to when you have to make them from scratch and I thank you all for being so patient with me as we get this done. I am still hoping to have them shipped out before Nats. ::cross fingers::

Hope he doesn't have to have the Sy for too long. I'm already worrying about it as it is.

Re: 3" downpipe GP!

I talked to Craig today and he said he should have my Sy done today or tomorrow at the latest which means all mock-up and fitment should be done as well. So the pipes should be on their way guys!

Mine is back in one piece but I won't know how my new trans feels until I can buy a battery on Friday/Payday.

Damn thing sat so long it killed my 2nd optima red top.
Time for yellow.

Re: 3" downpipe GP!

Alright I have good news. Three of the four pipes are nearly ready to be shipped! Again, I am sorry this took so long, but Craig had recently had one of his guys give him two weeks notice and it has been tuff for him to get all of his work in and get these DPs finished by himself.

I have a Yellow top, they are the shiznit
