I contacted two vendors a week ago about making me a front license plate bracket mount for my Syclone.

I dont want to have to drill into my undrilled front cladding, and I am tired of getting harassed by the police for it on my dash.

BOTH vendors said they would do it for me. I asked price, and didnt get a response from one ... but the OTHER said they would do it , and to start a Group Purchase interest thread on here.

If he sees enough interest and gets enough people on board, he can give a discount on GROUP PURCHASES.

Post up if you are interested ... and put MAYBE if price matters or you want to see it first, or YES if you want one for sure.

I will start ... YES ... I want one for sure.

this is all I could find at the moment, I will have to take some new pictures tomorrow if needed.

basically, instead of drilling holes in the front of the plate, you drill two holes under the bottom lip, this way if you remove the plate later on, there are no visible holes.

Not to take away from your thread but I would rather pay the fine than put a goofy front plate on. Oddly enough, for as Nazi as this town is I have never been harassed for it.

I chop metal up all day.I think that 2 bent bars that attach to the lower CCHE and dont interfere
with the rubber flap would be best.

No drilling no BS just unscrew the 2 outer nuts,bolt up the brakets and bam.

Prolly cost like tree-fiity each let me figure this out.

I found 1 black set the other day when I was moving some stuff around. If there is enough interest, I will make up another batch.

I already have the jigs and everything to make them, I can whip some up.

Though my truck is not registered in California (Military, so I register it in my home of record), who knows what will happen when I retire from this gig in a couple years. It may be nice to have this on hand for the possibility of staying here permanently. Show me interested in one, to put on the shelf.

From that picture (if that were to be the model it is based on) one suggestion would be to either make it so the bottom holes of the license plate can be screwed into or have two more holes on the bottom. Just to triangulate one plane so its more sturdy. I think two holes on the bottom if there is enough surface area would be better. Either way.

Anyone ever install a retractable license plate holder?
I know they cost more (based on how they retract and the construction).
