As I mentioned in an earlier post, the price being bandied about would be acceptable if I already had the mold paid for. It should be enough to cover all the other costs (pour, machine, x-over, etc), but I dont have the molds made (nor will I for that price).

In order for this to be feasible, the complete set needs to sell for $900. This would be for an improved manifold casting design, larger crossover, and some other nice features. Since very few people are willing to invest (as I will need to) in cast-iron (or SS) manifolds that will be bolt-in and good enough to bring you into the low-10's or faster, for half the price of custom headers, I see no need to move forward with this.

$900 isnt too terribly far off base...figure a set of headers is going to be around $300 more, and they complicate things like changing the plugs. Having to machine them adds cost as well, as the rough castings would seal like a screendoor in a hurricane.
