Alex - you're saying larger but it's pretty tight in there - would the walls be thinner? I'm just thinking spark plugs/stering shaft etc....

Great initiative. Maybe a poll would be indicative of people's cost tolerances?

If they worked with angle plug heads that would be a design plus. I would vote for a t4 mount personally

5-600 would be reasonable

I would probably buy a set if they were in the $500-800 range. Maybe 2 sets if closer to the 500 mark.

5-600for me. any more than that and i would make my own headers. they are a pita but i don't have bad manifolds either. if my manifold was cracked, i would be in a different position.

There is a SMALL amount of uncracked stock sets out there, and I see them sell for around $300 used quite often. I dont see you getting more than $600 for a new set ---

Thanks for the input people.

You couldn't pour the metal and machine the parts for $400 cost. It seems people would rather keep swapping/repairing ~20 year old stock pieces than invest in a newer, better design. If not, they would rather spend ~$1700 on a set of headers.

Thats here wait 5-6 years you wont touch manifold for under 600 I have sold RH manifolds for 400 a pop with zero effort real nice examples will pull more money when people start restoring these trucks stock parts will be $$$$ think cladding is expensive now?

brand new stock - 500
brand new stock upgraded as you stated - 800+

As of right now i have stock on the truck, have not removed them to see if ever fixed. No need at the time either. I have used atr on the shelf waiting, paid a grand 2 years ago. So as you stated, stockish upgraded.

I would think a good price would be 600-800. I think 1000 isnt bad and I am sure that the longer we go and the more factorys that crack they would bring 1000. If they get more expensive than that and to me it would be worth going with a full set of headers:tup:

As soon as you do this they will show up on eBay in 304 stainless (beautiful)for less than $300 a set.

$600 range is about the max most will pay for a set. Lot of parts for these trucks people take for granted today will be at gold prices down the line. Restoring them will not be easy in the years to come.

Side note - have you contacted Dorman or ATP to see if they have any interest in a production run. I did years ago and got a "No" but you might try again.

parts aren't going to be worth anything more, than what people are willing to pay for them.

when rich people have an interest in sytys, yeah the prices will go up, until then they will remain in the gutter.

The price of Exhaust Manifolds will be based on Supply and Demand. If all of a sudden their are less manifolds than number of SyTy's, I bet the price will go up quite a bit if their is a demand for uncracked manifolds. Most of us aren't going to junk our trucks if all of sudden the demand is $1K for manifolds.

Having a readily available replacement for if a stock one cracks is well worth it IMO. Figure at the rate these engines get rebuilt, its only a matter of time before they crack from being taken on and off multiple times.
