Hello,
I'm looking for input on what you guys what like to see, and opinions on what I'm considering for future Ultimate chip hardware.
What I can do right now is alter the number of settings and associated display nomenclature. In other words, if you have reprogrammed your EPROM and now only use say 10 settings, I can reprogram the controller to toggle through only these 10, and display whatever you want. Also, you can press and hold the button to quickly scroll through the settings, rather than hit the button once for each advancement. (Don't try this with you current unit, it will work for a few times then get "lost", requiring a power down/up sequence to reset it).
For the near future I'm going to stick with the 4 digit LED, so let's not get into different displays just yet.
One option that I'm considering is using a remote to change settings, eliminating the pushbutton.
Any interest in a display that reads O2 value (mv or A/F ratio)? I'd steer this towards those using the WB O2 sensor since it's more meaningful, but would also work with the stock sensor. The display would only show the current setting when the button is pushed, then return to O2 value after a few seconds.
How about boost being displayed instead?
How about a display that is held in a 2 1/16" gauge enclosure to be mounted in a gauge pod?
I'd like to offer a lower timing chip for those who cannot get 93 octane at the pump. How much timing would you like to see taken out in the street settings?
Any other ideas?
