What would cause the tripodometer to roll the tenths dial, but not flip the rest of the numbers after it hits 9? If you reset it to read 000.0, it will just read from 000.0, roll around to 000.9 and stay at 000.0 on full revolution.....not goto 001.0
I have the cluster removed (I needed to flip the oil pressure needle anyhow) and even when I manual roll the trip by hand, it still doesnt catch and roll the rest of the numbers. I even took the assembly out of the holder to make sure everything moved freely and popped it back in to make sure it was set down all the way in the carrier.
I found this thread:

Even if the motor was fubar, would you still be able to manual turn the gear and get the trip to move?
When I removed the assembly, theres a small line of gears set on a bar behind the dials. This is part of the reset button when you want to set it at 000.0. Im guessing these are the same small gears that the lobe on each number dial hits to turn the next dial?
This isnt my cluster, but it pretty much looks the same, I dont see anything missing on mine:

I'll take some pics of mine while I have it out.....
