From a different post. By Tom at 9:30 this morning.

Re: Sportsmachines Driveshafts
We stopped making these last summer. The shop we were using had some huge changes, were going to pick up with them once they reorganized, but that never happened. We plan to have them available in the future, but we have been focused on many other projects and the driveshafts are a little further down on the priority list. When we have them again, we will be sure to let you all know.

Not sure if serious but calling would've crossed many a minds before 6 months of waiting for PMs and forum posts. I doubt he would see your caller ID and not answer because he's been avoiding your forum posts and refuses to talk about driveshafts with you, at least not before posting about secret codes and ball tickling :rotf:

Easy there seabiscuit... I'm sure Tom just missed your inquiry's. He is a busy dude.
If you need to get in contact with him call (585) 204-SYTY. Leave a message if no answer and he will return your call asap.
Back when I ordered a propshaft from him they were several weeks out, he ended up sending me the propshaft from his truck.

Maybe because you act like a ****ing asshole. After reading your bitchy crybaby posts over the past couple of days, I can't blame them or anyone for waiting to avoid you. Get over it already, you found an alternate source for your driveshaft, they didn't have any anyway.

Its not like they took your money and ran like some other "vendors" or better yet, kept saying they would have the product in a certain time frame and then when that time came, made another excuse as to why it was delayed and when it would be available.

Re: sportsmachine

Tom is a great guy. I'm fairly certain with the way you wrote your post that you have a hard time getting anybody to do business with you.

Have a nice day.

Re: sportsmachine

sorry guys but I have called several months ago about some heads and they said they would get back with me, still waiting on that call, of course he said he never got the message lol. as said before I tried nice pm's, and threads thinking maybe this would be easier for them they and still nothing so yall can call it cry baby or what ever you would like but lack of driving my ass up there to ny and waving money in the jokers face I have tried. then I see another post about another guy with the same question about drive shafts and presto he gets a reply. no biggie as I spent money else where, but I dam sure gonna share my experience with them and yes again all my pm's and my thread asking about driveshafts a while back including the phone where all nice since last communication up until now . I own my own business also and know that one of the most important things is communication if I cant help someone I dam sure not gonna avoid them and leave them woundering for 6 months with no response's. I know a lot of you guys love them but I think I got plenty right to express my experience . either they don't check there pm's, don't read there threads under there own section and lost the phone number i left way back when, oh wait i'am just a cry baby and haven't tried lol.
i'am glad several of you guys like him and he is a asset to the syty community but no luck here take how you would like

calling was my first attempt and was suppose to get a call back way back a long long time ago and never got a call back, figured he busy so started leaving pm's and got a few then nothing. started a thread under there section and nothing. so last i figured there might be some seceret code or or hand shake I wasn't aware of to doing business with them, i guess the ball tickling wasn't it lol

Well that makes sense, since the only time he offered them to the community was over a group purchase which also required pre paying for the parts, then they were made and shipped out since they were not an "in house" deal. Not sure why thats such a difficult concept to comprehend. If I called D&R Driveshaft tomorrow, I would have to give them my CC # and pay for the part in full before they made it and shipped it to me, thats how it works! Did you expect him to ship you parts, wait for you to get them, then have you pay him? You must be a special kind of stupid.

Where would you be now? Probably still bitching on the internet about something else that didn't work out to your liking, however if Sportmachines did take payment in full or even a deposit and wasn't able to deliver the part, they would have refunded you, no doubt in my mind about that. So no, you wouldn't have been out any money, the only thing you might have lost out on was some time, but since they didn't take your money nor lead you on about making the part and having delays in production and keep you waiting, I still don't understand what you're still crying about.

If you want to share your opinion or experience, that is your right. Often times, good or bad, its helpful to us to get a pulse of what we are doing, if its working, if we are doing a good job, or if we are dropping the ball and need to be more receptive or understanding of things.

The thing that irritates me is incorrect information. You are correct, the first time you called, I did not call you back in a timely fashion for whatever reason. I apologize. After that you did send PMs. You sent 5 over the last 8 months. We have responded 4 times, so you heard from us, we responded. We also had a phone conversation where we discussed your urgency, what the situation was and I told you if you wanted to pay, we would do whatever we needed to to get them done, but it would take a little longer because the status of manufacturing had changed.

I've explained that to a few people over the last 6 months. I have been working on finding another supplier, and had hoped to have them back in production and some on the shelf by now, but other things took priority.

Theres no secret to working with us. We try to do a lot for a niche community. We love what we do. we love these trucks. Sometimes things fall through the cracks and we try to make up for it. We will continue to do more.

The tide has been turning over the years as to the sort of people who now own the Sy and Ty machines. Its kind of funny to sit back and watch them in action and can't figure out why things don't go their way.

Great response.

People need to realize that none of our Vendors are "Summit Racing", you can't just expect everything at the snap of your fingers because you have the money and you want it now.

This is due partly to way America has become a now....now....now place. No patience from people these days....Tom has always done great things for this community of syty people. I salute him for that. But it's the no patince people I can't stand and act like they haven't been heard or answered even though they already had been helped.

Fixed that up a little for accuracy. Many of the "owners" on the board still here have owned multiple SyTys, and have had them for decades. These owners' expectations have not changed at all.

It's the newcomers to these finicky 20+ year old POS's that provide the entertainment and drama. Same as it ever was.

Very Well Said Dave....
